I bought this because I had been cracking some very hard shelled organic eggs and my thumb had little cuts in it. They worked with a bit of practice. But once my thumb healed I stopped using it. It is just easier to crack them on the edge of the skillet as long as the shells aren’t really hard.

It especially good for beating raw eggs, not so good for beating cooked eggs, and at this price, it's worth it.
