These Calipers / Dividers perform well - the thumb wheels are a little sticky from a relatively rough finish, but they get better with use - it's a very functional set to have around the wood lathe where you won't put your fist through the wall because you drop them a couple times.

My need does not call for precision calipers, so I was glad to find this inexpensive set. The screw mechanism to open and close does not operate smoothly, but they are fine for my purpose.

Well, the outside caliper and divider tips don't meet.Outside calipers are offset out of plane, but sometimes shift into position. Also, these took a concerted effort to get them to open up.Dividers' tips were just ground wrong---offset to one side, and came with one tip bent, pushed through the rubber end protector. Also the tips cannot touch each other because the inside straight gets in the way.Inside Caliper was okay-ish.But they were inexpensive, and I needed a "beater" set for the shop.

Don't expect to use this to properly measure anything! Rivets holding the bolt in place are loose. Opened the package 2 minutes ago to check out the quality... I had to start the return process and put the product down because I feel in 5 more minutes of use they'll break.Absolute junk
