I purchased this violin finger tape to help my daughter with finger placement during their beginner violin lessons, and it has been a huge game-changer. The tape is easy to apply and sticks securely to the fingerboard without leaving any residue when removed. It’s thin enough that it doesn’t get in the way while playing, and the bright colors make it easy to watch her finger positions during practice. It is the perfect size for her small violin and would also fit a larger size. This tape functions perfectly for the intended use. It doesn't peel or shift and is of high quality, which makes it a fantastic value.

As a new student the tapes were a necessary evil. I purchased three tiny rolls and soon ran out. Anyone learning the violin or any string instrument needs these finger placement tapes. They wear off with use and have to be replaced. I purchased three small rolls and ran out. These rolls are large enough that I hope that by the time I run out, I won't need them anymore. Do not purchase the note decals that you put on the fingerboard. When you finally take them off, they leave a mess. Also, you might prefer one color over the other two. I love the yellow.

Violin teacher here - these aren’t bad, but they’re a bit annoying to put on. You go to cut it and it curls into a tiny ball. Then, they come off the student’s violin pretty easily. The kids become more focused on the fact their tapes are peeling off than that they’re playing violin, lol. That being said, they are great for their value. If you’re a classroom teacher who isn’t reimbursed for your materials, these are fine. Lots of tape for the cost!
