Box is rugged, terminals easy to get to and tough. Green light shows power is on. I mounted mine 6' off the ground so no accidental shocks (ie. child being curious) if circuit becomes live. Cord is rated SJTW, heavy outdoor use. Excellent build quality. Just the box at the big box store was $68 and the cord $72. I got the special $65 for both at Amazon. You can't beat that anywhere.

Ordered it for use with my generator. Excellent product, heavy duty cord. Fit perfectly with the electrical box that I also ordered. I would recommend it. Excellent product.

The review is: They both worked perfectly during our last hurricane. Power was out for 30+ hours, and these allow my generator to run the house. Including my whole house A/C. I have a Soft-Start unit on that.They both seem to be good quality.

What I like is the solid feel of the cord and connector, it would have been better in my opinion if the connection on the box was facing down (either straight down or at an angle) because of the weight of the cord that you will be plugging in.

This box is sturdy with plenty of room to connect wires. Very easy install, took 15 mins.

I purchased and installed to my house as I prepare for the unforeseen electricity outages .. I live in Northern Alberta and the power outages are very common in our area … a great buy , cost is affordable and installation went good … quality was very good , looks durable…
