Thought this was a globe valve when I bought it, due to the description, but it is a gate valve. I bought two for an outdoor shower, and the valves are just not good. When you twist to turn on the water, the resistance varies, and you have to twist substantially to get the water flowing. Almost seems like an intermediate stop or catch is built in. And one of the valves never sealed right, leaked from the moment of installation.

The casting on this valve is very clean, the threads are perfect. I know it's not a typical installation, but I got it so I could control the flow of water in some sections of irrigation pipe. It gives me the fine control I need and should be much more durable living outdoors all the time. Very good quality from a no-name offshore manufacturer.

I got this valve to replace one of the broken ones for the washer in the basement. It is not the standard size so I had to be creative, but eventually, it fits.This valve is a robust and reliable piece of plumbing equipment. The casting is of high quality, with no imperfections that I could find. The threads are clean and precise, ensuring a secure connection.I'm using it to control water flow in the cold water line for my washer, and it's working perfectly. While I can't speak to its long-term durability yet, the initial build quality is very promising.It's a no-frills product, but it does exactly what it's meant to do, and it does it well.

This is a traditional gate valve. There's a good weight to it and feels heavy duty.The valve turns quite smoothly, doesn't seem like it would have any trouble getting stuck. It fits my pipe and has not leaked. I've gotten really good flow out of it, so it should be able to handle high PSI lines.I have not had this long enough to comment on how well it works over time.
