For the money this worked really well for me. It could be better as far as setting and triggering but does have the suction. The solder almost evaporates inside compared to when I tried using the soldering suckers that look like these but do not have the heat. 5 stars might be a little strong for what it is but I have not found any major issue.Only thing that stood out was the cord be longer.

I was a bit concerned with the quality/design out of the box, plastic handle seemed flimsy, and the black plunger cap wasn't well attached. Handle got hot during use but not too hot to use. I would have liked a heat shield around the heater section, and a few more watts would have been nice. However, it did get the job done removing some rather large power inductors, small components were a breeze.

got this specifically to change the joysticks on my ps5 controller. I have little to no soldering experience but i was successful in changing my joysticks using this!

The quality feels cheap and doesn't seam to get hot enough. I don't feel it works better than the traditional solder sucker and iron. Also the power cord is short and gets in the way.

I was working on a pc mainboard and the traditional suction tool was not cutting it. Having to heat the solder and then trying to position the suction tool quickly before the solder cooled was a constant struggle. So, I've seen these before and it fit into my budget better than the higher end solutions. It is better than the fully manual one because of the heat but honestly it is just a temporary solution for me. That being said, it does what it says it does. There isn't a heat control so I have no idea what temps it maintains; so, it may or may not work for some solder.

Wow! Forget the desoldering braid, this tool does the job much faster and greatly reduces the chance that you'll damage the printed circuit board. It also comes with extra metal tips, a spare heating element, and a simple stand to keep the hot tip off your bench. This is one of those tools you didn't know you needed, but once you have it, you'll wonder why you waited so long to get it.
