We bought these this year to use in the pump of our 10k gallon above ground pool. We were very happy to find out they actually work! I’ve had to clean them once because of another issue - I added a product that caused a sludgy mess in the filter - but if it wasn’t for my own decision to use that product we wouldn’t have had to rinse them at all yet. If I’d have had pool sand in my filter, I’d have had to remove all of it and replace with brand new, so the filtration balls are way better on that front. I’ll probably get another bag and add a few more because it does seem like the pump would run a little better if the filter balls were packed tighter. As it is now they don’t even reach the minimum line on the intex sand pump, so I don’t think they’re the equivalent of the pounds of sand they say they are, but they’re worth the price for sure.

Tried it out after repainting the pool. It's been iver 2 months and it's crystal clear with minimal maintenance. I even left for a couple weeks and had algae on the walls... usually with the sand filter that could be a week or several weeks to clarify after, but this was clear again the next day. Our pool is about 9000 gallons, very happy with this product!! Yes, we do have a pool cleaning robot too, also recommend that, but it's just a vacuum for the floor, it won't keep the water clear.

I love these, easy to clean and reuse. They perform amazing and keep my pool water looking immaculate.Easy to install and a great alternative to sand.

Absolute trash. Disintegrates and clogs filter pump. You get what you pay for. These filter balls are absolutely worthless. They kept disintegrateing and tienit into mush and clogging my filter. I had to empty them out of my filter every week or sooner. Does not perform like it says and definitely does not perform like the real stuff from Bestway or Intex. I had the name brand polysphere balls and they worked amazing for the time we used them, but decided to try these since they were on sale from Amazon. Waste of money and my time. Won't keep the pool clean / clear. Lost using pool thanks to this garbage. I don't recommend anyone using these. We make sure to keep chemicals balanced and even had a pool company come out for cleanings and to see what was happening and they also saw the trash that these filter balls are.

Started pool season with them. They have kept pool water clear all summer. Will see what they look like at when I close pool. They say can clean in washing machine I will see

No difference in cleaning then sand. My husband didnt like them thought it put too much pressure build up in filter but I thought it was ok

Honestly, you could just use cotton balls. They work fine. But this is An elevated option!

The Amazon ad is incorrect that 4.6lbs. is equal to 150lbs. of sand. The box says 1lb. of balls are equal to 15lbs. of sand. Which would be 69lbs. for 4.6lbs. of balls. Had to buy another bag for my 150lb. filter because it was not filtering properly.
