These filter balls are an excellent alternative to sand for your filtration system. These come well packaged and are easy to install in your existing filter system. These filter balls work extremely well at keeping your water clear, and clean well during the backflush process. Overall, these are well priced and work as expected.

These filter balls are fantastic! They keep my pool water super clean and require way less maintenance than sand filters. Plus, they're eco-friendly, which is a huge win in my book. Definitely recommend!

This review is for the 1.5 Lbs Pool Filter Balls for Sand Filter, Reusable Eco-Friendly Filter Media for Sand Filter Pump, Replaces Pool Filter Sand, Long-Lasting for Several Seasons.So these caught my eye. I know tradition is to use a sand filter for a swimming pool, but the polyfiberfill or sponges or polyester fiber sheet batting is commonly used in filters for fish pods and aquariums too. I'm curious to find out from the manufacturer/seller if this product can be used safely in a filters for aquariums/fish ponds? The main thing is it's clean virgin product and there's no chemicals in it like for fire retardent or anything else. I'll check back to see if they post anything about this. The one pic in the listing does show an aquarium. I would just like an assurance about it.So I did get these with the idea of using them in a pool filter I have coming. And since I already know how well the polyester sheet batting products are at filtering the aquariums/fish pond, I have no doubt these will work great for the pool too! One thing I don't see listed is anything with the amount to use for the size of the filter? It would be nice if the seller could speak to this too. Am I supposed to just put them in loosely? Should I pack them in snuggly? Am I supposed to lay them in neatly in layers while trying to cover all water flow areas? The pump I'll be using has it's own strainer basket in it to catch the med-large sized stuff.So I'm thinking I'll need more than this package that's 1.5 Lbs. These are shipped in a pretty small vacuum sealed brick plastic bag, they should expand quite well once opened. They do come with a zipper close mesh bag to put them in, make sure you don't cut it when opeing the package and use it, otherwise your little filter balls might get blown out into the pool LOL. I'm not using these yet as it's still winter in our northern state, if there's any issues when I use them I'll be back here and update my review.Regular price $ 9.99 per the listing and seemed like a good price. Still I do always say watch for a sale/coupon, browse listings...As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.
