Heavier gauge material, easy to use with or without pliers, and made installing jumper wires between electric fence wires a breeze. I ran 12g high tensile wire and 12g underground wire, and both fit easily and snuggly in the keeper. I did try it on a piece of 11 strand poly rope and it does fit if you make sure the spiral is tight (my rope is old and not twisted as tight anymore). I bought another set of these connectors to have on hand for my next fence project.

These electrical fence connectors look just as described and made out of very light weight aluminum. They did work well with my electric fence polywire. I have not tested them with any other type of wire yet so if I do I will come back to update on that. But for now all is well and I will be recommending them.

I do a lot of electric fence wiring, and have tried a variety of different splicing options. I use polywire exclusively. These seemed interesting and I'm looking forward to try them out. My only real concern is getting them tight (the second screw should do that) and staying that way. I have used the 'figure eight' type of splices a lot, and these look like a reasonable alternative. It's not the season now, so I won't be able to put them to the test until spring, but I'm optimistic they'll work at least as well.
