I bought this as a replacement for my old Pana-Vue 2 which died. I like this viewer better for 2 reasons: 1. when you replace the batteries, there is an easy-open back compartment that does NOT have the light bulb attached (which the Pana-Vue did), and 2. I like the on-off switch at the top better than the need to press down on the slide or light bar for each slide. Otherwise, it is comparable in size and magnification. To note: this viewer came with 2 AAA batteries, but they are dated 2013, and even with a 10-year shelf life, they are expired. So I just put in new AAA batteries, you might want to watch out for the same. Small detail not worth worrying about, I mention it only so you don't put in expired batteries into your unit.

Given the simplicity of this device I don’t understand how they can justify the cost. That said, if you just want to preview slides and don’t mind paying 3X what it’s worth, it works. Would I buy it again? No, I’d scour tag sales for an old one with a spring that you push the slide down on to view and pops up when you release it that would sell for $3.

It worked fine to view old color slides with the unit's slide off-on switch...it is not rechargeable though...you need standard batteries to replace...

I have slides dating back 50 years. The projector was almost as old and didn’t work. I researched and bought this. What a great time I had going through so many memories! Now it is manual and you have to look at them one at a time. The cost was great. Screen size is small but it was bright and good quality!

Pas besoin d'un gros projecteur, même avec agrandissement 2X, la luminosité est excellente et on voit très bien les images. Je le recommande à tous.
