Having plenty of scratch posts one pads is something you definitely need with cats… and as a foster mom, I go through them a lot! This scratching post is super cute with the faux leaves on top to make it look like a palm tree. Which is nice since I can’t keep potted plants around these guys without them making them a makeshift litter box.Anyway! As you can see, my cats took right to it! For comparison, the cat in this picture is a hefty 18lbs. And my lightweight 8 pounder stuck to it like Velcro with his zoomies!Depending on how aggressive your cat is with scratching, you might want to weigh down the base, as it does sway a bit with heavy pulling from the top. But otherwise I’m impressed by this post. There is a little hole in the bottom with a mouse, but my guys haven’t been interested in it (or maybe just haven’t noticed it yet), as well as 2 “coconuts” for them to play with. And it was really simple to assemble. 3 screws/post screws and it was done. So this was a great addition to help keep these guys active and entertained.

My 11 year old put this together with my supervision in about 5-10 minutes - very easy to assemble. It's super cute! I love that it looks kind of like a little palm tree. Also love the little mouse hole at the bottom - what a fun feature! Not sure how long it will last though - my cats went after it right away and one of them tore a bit of the mouse fur off within the first few minutes of using it. On the other hand, the balls at the top seem attached very well so hopefully will be more durable and long-lasting.Cats were attracted to the tree right away and used it for playing and scratching, as hoped. I'd give it 4.5 stars - almost perfect other than the poor little mouse falls apart too easily.

We've got 2 10 month old kittens and 2 five year old cats, so needing toys and enrichment (besides terrorizing each other or the house) is a must! This scratching post was delivered yesterday, I put it together in less than 10 mins and by the evening, the two older cats have been using it! My older boy is very long so this is a great height for him to really get into it. My girl loves anything she can scratch on so she was the first to start using it.The one downfall is my cats are 14+ lbs so they knock this thing right over when they are really getting into it. I may look to add some weight to the bottom to keep it upright. I do think it'd still be useful lying down as standing up so I won't take any stars off for that aspectThis is super cute scratching post, that adds a little whimsy to the house and keeps the kitties occupied!I would purchase again!

My cats can not get enough of this palm tree scratching post. I bought them one for Christmas that was terrible. The leaves were all bent up and falling out. The pole itself was skinny. It was just cheap. This one is so much better. And the funny part is that this one comes at a way better price. It has a bigger wider pole. They leaves are thicker and made of a better material. It looks so much more aesthetic and natural. The cats can't get enough of it. Even if they didn't like it I would still use it as house decor. It's that cute and nice.

Our kitten immediately started scratching it and playing with the hanging balls. Only issue is it’s very light, so even though she’s tiny when she puts her weight into it, it knocks the whole thing around and scoots it, thankfully the base is wide so it doesn’t fall. However, I’d much prefer if the base had some weight to it to prevent it from moving around. I already know I’ll come home to this in a completely different spot. Overall though, the kitten and my older cat both use it to scratch and play so if you can weigh it down, it’s a solid buy!

My boy is long bodied and loves to get his stretches in, and his sisters aren't far behind. He loves that he can really get in good stretch and scratch with this scratching post. I love that it (mostly) distracts them all from the furniture. I also love that it's sturdy enough to take the abuse that five cats can dish out without tuning into sawdust, has a reasonably heavy base so it doesn't go wandering and looks like it's going to last awhile. Happy times for all!

This cat scratch pole with faux palm leaves was easy to assemble and looks cute. My 2 yo shelter cat was very interested in it when I was putting it together. She loves the toys and the mouse hole. Not wobbly enough to fall over mostly because the cat has to sit on the base to use it which weighs it down for scratching. The palm leaves are a little cheesy but she likes the sound and motion of them which makes her play with it more. The mouse in the hole drives her crazy. Maybe a little pricey at $40. Nice product overall that will get some good use.

It's a nice toy and the cats love stretching their arms and looking up at (and sometimes attacking) the leaves when they scratch it. They play with the balls too, but the leaves seem to be more interesting to them. The mouse at the base is also a cute addition.Very easy to put together and doesn't tip even when two (average size) cats jump on it.
