Your cart is empty.3 1/2" x 48" Blank Newel Post. Ascension Stair Parts wood products come in a variety of species and profiles. The natural variations in grain and color will require tolerance for look and finish. Sanding to a finish will be required on most products unless stated otherwise before paint or varnish can be applied. Our blanks and notched posts are made of three layers of 1 (more for 3.5” posts) inch thick pieces pressed together. This adds strength and protects against warping you might get using a single piece of wood.

Used these red oak newel posts to finish our railing. They were much more affordable than Lowe’s or Home Depot. They did have to be stained twice to get a dark color but I was very impressed with the quality.

I used this to make a custom newel post when I couldn’t find one like I needed at the big box stores. It was just as expected and carefully packed.

Wood was splintered in some areas and not as described. I is to be mounted on the side of a stair and is notched at the base. They would have looked good cleaned up but it would have taken a little extra work.
