This Axe is an outstanding tool! Whether it's splitting medium to large logs, this thing is amazing! The 4.3 lbs head is both heavy enough and big enough for these logs. The handle is great quality too. sturdy and the material beech wood is perfect for the balance since you need a heavy head but also need to be balanced. Included is a leather sheath for storage and also a sharpening stone. I say it’s a must-have for anyone needing to split wood themselves. 5/5 – Highly recommended!

WOW. The first thought I had when I took this out of the package was this is built like they did in my grandparents' day. I've gone through so many new garden tools but still have some old shovels and rakes that are decades old and still work fine because of the quality. This is right on par with them. I will be taking good care of this all wood handle keeping it oiled and the blade on this is thick enough to last through decades of use and sharpening. This is so worth the price. I'm shocked that it's currently listed at $54.99 considering all the tools made of thin metal handles and plastic components. There's even currently a $10 off coupon available. AMAZING!!! Plus it comes with a leather sheath to cover the blade so both the blade is protected and any person or object it could accidentally fall on. Not shown in the listing, but mine even came with a sharpening stone and a sheath for that. I really can't say enough good about this tool. I'm impressed and would recommend to anyone looking for a splitting axe.

Tried it right out of the box. Nice weight to it. Needed a little sharpening but split logs easily with minimal effort. Comes with a sharpening stone which is nice, along with a leather pouch for the sharpener, and leather cover for the axe blade.
