The axe is nice, chops wood, and spplit small pieces with ease. The sheath is a bit flimsy and the belt loop is just acouple of slits cut into the back of it so the axe actually touches your belt and you risk hitting your belt with the cutting edge when putting it into the sheath. But if youbare just hanging it on a backpack or using it to protect the blade in a tote or something it will work.

The hickory wood handle is solid, and well shaped. But it was a disappointment that they sent the hatchet in clearly wet or rusting condition. I’m disappointed with the product and lack of quality. The edge of the blade also looked chipped and damaged. There was a rubber over the blade which clearly had contained water or other corrosive substance. Would not order from this seller again.

Head has gotten a little loose, but it’s been used a lot. Not bad for the price
