The vaccume is very effective and quiet, the only down side is that it tends to tire out on thick carpets. You need to turn it off and let it rest.The hose no longer comes with a fabric cover which must be purchased separately, the kit doesn't include that but includes a lot of other attachments.It's a bit pricy

Very happy with this central vacuum attachment kit. In my previous home that had a central vacuum, I purchased a Centec electric attachment kit. In 14 years I went through 3 hoses. I thought the power head was okay until I bought a NOS Royal Everlast portable vacuum and the Royal got the border much better. When I moved to a new home that had a de-installed central vacuum, I contacted an MD dealer to come and reconnect the extra power unit that I brought with and needed a new attachment kit. The dealer recommended this kit. The Stealth power head did a fabulous job on my carpet. I bought the second kit from Amazon since I could get financing. I have 2 of the kits and think they're great quality. If you have a central vacuum or are thinking of installing 1, get this kit!

I very seldom write reviews....unless something is either incredible or horrible. I am writing this time because I just got shafted by MD Manufacturing. About 4 years ago, I bought a Stealth electric brush, the electric hose that was offered at the time, and an extension to that hose. As it turned out, we hired a cleaning crew to clean our house so the vacuum, as good as it was (and the electric brush, I believe, is very good), came out of the closet very seldom.....perhaps just 5 times a year. Very early on, I started having electrical contact problems with the hose. Being a do-it-yourself type guy, I was able to remove the cuff and figure out what was going on.... The contact was made similar to brushes on a motor. So I'd align things, put it back together, and then it would work for a few sessions and quit and I'd have to repeat the process. I work in the technology industry and deal with product quality...and my impression of this product was that it was a very poor design, given that even with great care of the hose, the problem continued to show up. Finally, one day during this repair ritual, one of the plastic parts broke. When I asked M.D. for replacement parts, they informed me that they no longer stocked parts for that hose and that I was going to have to dish out $200 for a brand new hose. Needless to say I was not happy that I had had to play hose technician for 4 years....... It was very interesting to me that the hose, that was originally touted as the best hose ever manufactured and tough as nails, was no longer a product they offered. They gave me what seemed to be a bunch of hooey about they had to discontinue it because parts were no longer available. How convenient. How about the hose design was terrible and you got rid of it and aren't doing anything to help customers who got suckered into buying it. But I think the thing that really drives me to write this review is that rather than just state their case, they took the pictures I had sent them of the broken parts and started accusing me of improper disassembly, tool marks where I somehow abused the part and that's why it broke, blah blah blah. I was livid. I am an electrical engineer with over 30 years experience and if there's one thing I know, it's how to build things and use tools. The baloney they started dishing out, somehow implying it was my fault, was incomprehensible to me, given that I had fixed their weak design over and over again for the past 4 years. Needless to say, I will scour the earth for vacuum parts before I ever buy from this company again.

I've been using this for quite a few months now and had been very happy until I realized all the pet hair just gets stuck in the power head where it meets the tube. I have to take it apart every room and pull out wads of hair that have blocked the path. At this point it just stops picking up debri because of the clog. Otherwise quality of hose and accessories are great.

I purchase this to replace my 20 year old MD system and it performs as I expected. However there are a couple of things that keep me from it five stars.1 - When I ordered it I assumed I was ordering the direct connect model (with the two prongs that plug right into the wall vacuum port). Well when I opened the box I was surprised it was shipped with a cord. What I learned is that they send it with an option to convert it to a direct connect. There are instructions that are fairly clear on how to do that but I will say it can be tricky. But I made sure to take my time and had it done in less than 30 minutes.2 - It is not as well made as my previous model. It doesn't feel as "beefy" as my original product. seems like there is more plastic and the hose weighs less than the original. I'm sure it will be fine but feel it's important to point out.One thing I really like is that the hose is 35'. My previous was 30'. That extra 5' will be perfect!

Arrived 2 days after order as promised. Everything works perfectly and is a big improvement over what I had been using. It works fine with the built in vacuum system I have had for years.

I called twice on different days, during business hours, & I could only leave a message to call me back. I said I had questions about upgrading to the stealth. If it sounded problematic I would purchase another Turbo Cat Zoom.They never did call and now I am not interested in doing business with MD.
