The wire came as expected, don’t forget the buy covering for it. Otherwise it was easy to install and a good price for what it is.

This is exactly what the listing says it is, a 100-ft spool of copper-clad aluminum trailer wire. I tested the resistance of each wire with an Ohmmeter to 0.3 Ohms, which is about what 100 feet of 14g CCA wire should measure. The wires are bonded together but strip apart easily when required for your trailers wiring. For stripping, I found that the 12-guage slot does a better job clearing the insulation. The conductor wires may be slightly over sized. When I use the 14-guage slot on the stripper I lose a few strands of the wire bundle. The wire ends fit 14 gauge connectors just fine though. As the listing also says, when you use it you must use water tight connectors. If you don't the connections and wire is at risk of corroding, especially the aluminum internal strands. This would really be an issue on boat trailers, or any trailer that has the undercarriage exposed to road salt. I use crimp on connectors with heat shrink seals that seem to be working well. If you use wire nuts or non-sealing connectors you will have corrosion issues sooner rather than later. For me, the wire is easy to use and since it follows the 4-wire trailer wiring conventions it is simple to install. In the install for my 10ft flat utility trailer I was able to use "zip" style cable ties to secure the wiring to the frame to keep it secure and routed where i needed it.
