I'm using this primarily for 35mm slides. I was surprised by its quality and ease of use. The LED illumination is perfect, with no visible dark zones. I'm using 4 AA batteries, but it's good to know that a USB power option exists.

After reading several reviews, I chose this one because of the 3x magnification. I came across some old slides from long ago, and I couldn't find my old viewer, so I ordered this one. I could see each slide clearly, and I really liked the slide-eject button. The only thing I'd change is the size of the tray where the ejected slides go. I have arthritis in both hands, and I found it somewhat difficult to remove the slides, but it wouldn't prevent me from buying it again.

PERFECT FOR SELECTING YOUR BEST SLIDES AND DISCARDING THE REST. ONCE I HAVE MY BEST SLIDES TOGETHER, I USE THE "LED" light pad" to organize the slides in preparation for scanning the slides and storing them on a flash drive. From a flash drive, this provides for many options to display them: computer, big screen tv, digital frame........................

Some time during slide unloading (mostly with slide with paper frame) . The slide stuck inside the instrument and it’s very hard to get the slide out
