Most likely a perfect replacement for most steps. It fit perfectly, It ran smoothly. Unfortunately, this little step motor could not match the high torque type 23 motor it was replacing. It operated the steps down perfectly but, could not get them back up without assistance. If you don't mind giving it a helping hand even my application would have been solved. I was replacing the motor and gearbox from a Kwikee type 23 three step unit from 2001.

The entire original mechanism for my 2003 Fleetwood Southwind 36 entry steps finally failed and after being told that the original replacement was also "upgraded" was over $1000 I decided to do a deep dive into alternatives. Came across this product and thought I would give it a try. Perfect fit. Super smooth and it is so much quieter than the original. My steps go in and out smoothly and quietly. My only issues with the product aren't big deals, but if you get this product you will want to know.1. It doesn't come with instructions-nor are there any videos out there to help. Again, not a huge deal because it is just remove and replace with one exception...it comes with two washers. After asking and playing around with the motor assembly I concluded that one was to go between the small gear and the motor. You will see the small gear comes off the motor quite easily. One washer goes on the shaft. I tried two, but the gear wouldn't fit into the large gear housing...one washer was perfect. The other must be a spare?2. It doesn't come with any grease so make sure you buy some gear grease or white lithium grease and give it a good dose....Other than that...HIGHLY recommended.

Perfect replacement for my 1994 pre-IMGL gearbox and motor. Needed to purchase a pigtail connector for this motor since it is not wired like the old one. Perfect fit and worked well. Covered for the winter, will see how it works next season.

The wife and I have a 2003 Beaver Monterey and noticed on our return back to the city that the kwikee steps quit working. Took the entire assembly off, cleaned it, checked the motor and gearbox, tested it for which seemed to be working but refused to work properly when put back into place so I ordered this replacement which fit perfect and has been working great so far. ðŸ‘

Step motor/gearbox fit well and works well so far. Only disappointment is the unit does not come with a pigtail connector. The old unit is hard wired and the new one has a plug on it but no pigtail. This is not an easy item to find. Luckily I found one that I was able to make fit. Not perfect but it works. Should come with the correct pigtail.
