I weld these hooks to my loader buckets. I'm using 5/16" and 3/8" chain. I like 3 or 4 hooks, evenly spaced on a bucket. This increases the usefulness of the loader from pulling fence posts to dragging logs and lifting stuff. The hooks are allready chamferd so all I do is grind the paint off the bucket and a little off the hook to get to clean metal. 5 stars

I ordered these so I would be able to put one on each side of my bucket so I could easily level any thing that I am lifting. These hooks have worked out so much better than I imagined they would and so much easier to use than the single hook I had in the center of my bucket.The metal is thick and solid and I like the fact they have the back side already angled so it was a lot easier to stick weld into place utilizing that channel. I did put a metal hanger that I cut in half underneath these hooks in an attempt to just sturdy up the bucket some but I could just as easily welded these straight to the bucket.Even not being the best welder these turned out great and I have already tested them picking up about 1,000 pounds and no signs of any issues. They are nice and solid and work great.Overall, I would recommend these to anyone that has a bucket and wants to pick things up easily. Mount them facing toward your tractor and use the chain over the front of the bucket lip for tilting. I would order these again.

These hooks are the perfect solution for when you need a permanent fixture point for a chain. I used to just take old hooks and trim them with a torch. This keeps you from sacrifice a hook and provides better geometry. I have not welded this set on yet (project is waiting for me to have time) but they fit 3/8 chain as expected and should last the lifetime of the trailer if not abused.

Lots of v to establish your weld beads. Grade markings are stamped into each hook and the hooks have a deep throat to securely hold your 3/8†chain. Nice clean edges with no burrs and the hooks accept a solid coat of paint after welding..

These seem to be a decent pair of hooks but one of the hooks has a very uneven bottom about a 10 to 20% degree difference between each side , and that gap will be noticeable even after the hooks are welded up . Besides that these seem to be a good set of hooks but the defect on the one hook is large enough for me to give this set of hooks 4( personally Id say 3.5).
