Installation Tips :
1. Be advised you still need to remove the tail light in order to get toa washer that is on the inside, otherwise you’ll be spinning that bolt forever and it will never come out.
2. Reserved some front to back play that you can use to adjust the gate latch,
pushed these strikers towards the front of the truck
and the gate latches nice and tight now with a very little wiggle.

Over the years the tailgate on my 2006 HD2500 seemed to just not fit up like it used to, I never actually gave much thought to replacing these. The plastic sleeves were worn away, and the gate rattled. Replacing these was cheap and easy. If you have an older PU, I suggest you replace these as well, it makes a huge difference.

Bolts directly on like factory. You do have to remove the taillight to gain access to hold nut. Tailgate holds firm
