I blew a spark plug out of my 2002 5.4 plow truck. I bought this kit because it was cheap and seemed simple. The instructions were very straight forword. I pulled the cylinder apart that needed work and i went to it. The "core drill" that comes with the kit isnt great. It took me 2 hours to get about ¾ of an inch into the threads. I did ground the end of the drill bit to look more like a reamer and then it worked great. The tap worked perfect and the helicoil thread piece was also perfect. Id give it 5 stars if the drill bit wasnt such a piece of junk. If youre pretty handy you can make it work with some light modification.

Well if you know anything about Ford's and you say the word Ford Triton you know what means trouble for the ultimate wisdom chose to make an aluminum in the head and put in steel spark plugs which causes electrolysis and eventually corrodes the threads holding the plugs in and sooner or later you'll be driving along and your car will launch a spark plug out of the spark plug hole because the threads are corroded away. When my mother pulled into the driveway with the noise the car was making I was scared for her safety the car makes so much noise with the plug missing while the car was running. That was my first experience with the Ford Triton motor and was the last we immediately got online to find out that Ford's use of aluminum heads causes this problem . This is awesome it is all inclusive it's got team or bit the threaded tap the new threaded inserts which as per recommendation of my mechanic was JB welded in for permanent repairs and light weight 24 hours to cure . How it works is you remove the plug there's a guide that fits into the spark plug that will hold the ream and the threader in the perfect position needed to drill and tap for a new insert once the new insert is JB welding replacing cure it's permanent the kit is the very good quality and an amazing value for the money concerning some of the kicks that did the same thing with the same exact products and it will well over $300 so the value for one for the money was fantastic and as far as performance it worked beautifully it gave us back our vehicle where we would have had to buy a new motor. I am far from a professional mechanic just a DIY I like the rest of us and this kid after reading the instructions and watching a couple of YouTube videos was very easy to use and it fit perfectly the rims and taps and dies are all predetermined and there's no thinking just follow the instructions and you will have your call back I would definitely recommend this you can do this at home if you have basic mechanical skills the quality is good and it all comes in a blow mold in case I would definitely recommend this for anyone interested in it

I tried replacing a couple if spark plugs and I didn’t find these to work for me. Quality was subpar that pretty lousy. Going to try a different brand and hopefully those will work.

Does the job just watch some YouTube videos and you will get the job done. Decent quality that just works at an affordable price.
