Worked perfect only 2 issues I had was the carry case arriving broken which sucks since I’ll have to find a different way to store it and the actual heli coils being all the exact same length which kinda sucked since I needed just a tiny bit of clearance. I just filed it down and it fit perfect. Other than that it all worked perfectly fine. Easy to use and worth it money wise.

First time using this particular kit. It came well packaged. The tools and inserts were really good quality. I've done this type of repairs before with other types of kits, but this one for this application I feel is the best solution for rectifying blown out spark plugs in ford 2 valve 5.4 engines. I did YouTube some videos before to get the basic idea of how it would work. If you have some automotive knowledge this is a breeze to use. It's so easy to use I've taken on similar work with it. You can buy the replacement inserts if you use all the supplied ones. The kit comes with 8. I've since used it on Ford 4.6 -5.4 and even a couple plugs on the v10. It has a nice guide that inserts into the head where the plug goes making sure the ream drills in the correct angle for the insert. It gives you an airline plunger to make sure the valves are close when rotating the engine to get the piston on the plug hole your working on at bottom with the valves closed. The first time I used it, it took me 30-40 minutes now I can do them in about 15 minutes. It has a hard plastic case so it stores well with my other tools on a shelf. If you have a ford that blows the spark plugs out you can save yourself money having a shop fix it by buying this all in one, sturdy, simple to use kit.

Product was delivered when promised and was the right tool for my 1997 F150 4.6 V8 engine. Metal part of spark plug on cyl 8 was stuck in head, only the porcelain part of the plug came out. After boring out rest of the plug, used the milling bit to bore out aluminum head, then threaded the head, and, after inserting new spark plug in helicoil and coating helicoil with Red HiTemp locktite and JB Weld at top, screwed helicoil in.Worked like a charm! I would definitely recommend this product.

I just got this yesterday and was using it this morning. Everything seemed to be going well until the last port. As I was retracting the tap it broke off inside if the cylinder . OMG! I didn't know what to do other than to remove the head to retrieve the broken tap. As I looked at the tap longer it looked as if the tip had broken off. I used a magnet to fish out any debris from the broken tap. Sure enough two pieces came out and fit the broken tap perfectly. As I looked at the tap you could see two different collars where the tip broke, indicating a manufacturing defect ( bit had already been fractured) That is the difference for the two different colors in the bit.

The reamer, tap, valve position hose and inserts worked perfectly. The Guide jig however did not fit into the spark plug chamber. I had to machine a few thousands off the diameter in order for it to drop into the correct position in the chamber. It took me a while to reduce the diameter of the jig as I didn't have a lathe and had to use a belt sander instead. Once the jig fit properly everything else went smoothly.
