Ok im the guy who goes to harbor frieght for the cheap flap discs. Ive bought more than id like to admit but these 3m cubitron really are worth the price. Especially with aluminum they handled from cut to finish no problem didnt clog up and stop working usually you cant get around it not the case with these cut offs and grinding wheels so much faster as well. Im sold the kit was a great idea.

Great product, comes with everything you will need and lets you try different discs so you can choose what you like more and works best for you. I have tried most of the disc to remove rust and clean some welds on some of my test pieces and they have worked well. Something to try and for the price I could not complain.

Maybe this box of mixed 3M grinding wheels will exactly suit your needs. It's an assortment of flap wheels, grinders, and a sanding wheel system. If using the 3M quality is your priority or you want an introduction to the system, this might be a good way to see what's available. But if you just need a new disc for your angle grinder, you can do that for far cheaper.Note: the box says that the package is intended for professional use only, but I'm not sure what that means. Obviously, it's available to personal shoppers. I suspect it may be difficult finding replacements if you do fall in love with this system.Sill, I'm glad I have a least some grinders of this high quality. Every wheel is either made in the US or in Austria.

Before you complain that the individual prices are inflated and other discs are way cheaper on Amazon, know that 3M accessories are expensive for a reason. They last WAY longer AND give better results (e.g. more complete paint removal, smoother finishes). One 3M disc is worth 3-4 cheap discs, perhaps more if you include the sheer emotional satisfaction of seeing fast, good results. Don't take my word for it; watch the many YouTube videos of people testing 3M discs and wheels against cheap no-name brands. This pack is the best of both worlds: you get a TON of 3M accessories at prices that are only slightly more than no-name brands.Even compared to OTHER 3M discs, these win handily. The discs in this kit are the latest generation of their product lines, and they're objectively, measurably better than their predecessors by the double digits. The Cubitron 3 fibre discs cut 50-60% faster then Cubitron 2, the Clean and Strip XT Pro discs have more wear-resistant edges than the Clean and Strip discs, and so on. Removing paint and rust is now a breeze, and I no longer have to wonder when the gunk doesn't come off whether it's my technique or the tool just sucks. And no worries about accidentally removing metal or wires flying loose and giving me nasty splinters. 3M FTW!

This box has types of grinding wheels I've never seen in my many years in the shop. Some of these I've used for a few years now, and all of them are newer designs that cut better and faster than similar products on the market.I've been using these for both metal and wood projects, and a lot of these wheels are good in both type of work.If you want to save some money and try out some very good abrasives, this is they way to go. There's a couple of each type, so it's not a "use one and it's gone" scenario. This is nice because sometimes I use one of them and then want to try it out on a different material. This allows me to do that without getting material from the first job on the next.

The discs in this kit are incredibly durable and cut through metal with ease. They significantly reduce the amount of grinding time I spend on my projects, allowing me to focus on the creative aspects of blacksmithing. The various grits provide the flexibility to tackle a wide range of tasks, from rough shaping to fine finishing. 3M doesn't disappoint, even in their kit planning: the design is well-thought-out, the discs are easy to change, and the packaging is convenient for storage. I've been so impressed with these products that I've already purchased additional discs of my favorite types to keep on hand!

If you're looking at this, you probably already know about 3M cubitron. It's the Cadillac of sanding. I use cubitron on my random orbital sander as well. It's just the best, bar none. These discs are no different. They last forever. Such a great line. Can't speak highly enough of cubitron. I was so stoked to see it on Vine!
