What is the NIOSH Certified Equipment List (CEL)?
The certified equipment list is a tool to help respirator users, safety managers, industrial hygienists, and others to:
• Determine if the respirator they are currently using or considering using is NIOSH-certified,
• Select the appropriate respirator to protect against the hazard(s) they are exposed to,
• Locate the correct replacement component parts for respirators with chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear protections, and
• Learn what respirators are designed to provide protection from chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear agents, and what manufacturers produce units meeting the NIOSH standards.
The Certified Equipment List is regularly updated as respirators are approved, made obsolete, or the status changes in any way.

I know this is overkill, but I bought these for when I use bleach in the house and WOW do they work. Couldn't smell a THING while I was spraying and scrubbing. Wasn't until I was finished, had everything rinsed, then I removed the respirator and could smell the leftover chlorine smell in the house. Amazing. Can't believe I subjected myself to mucosal acid attack every time I bleached for all those years. And what they say is true about these filters being extra breathable thanks to the four surfaces--I felt no inhalation resistance at all. And really easy to install with just a click. And now I have them for whatever else comes my way--any cleaning projects, wildfire smoke, airborne illness prevention. Highly recommend!

Ideal airflow with solid protection, only positive pressure would out perform. I use these filters when working with VOCs and with a good face seal, there are no hints of the compounds in the mask. These have been effective with wood working process chemicals, gunsmith work (cleaning), and most common house hold chemicals. Remember to use eye protection!
