Original one lasted 15 years. Easy fix and way less expensive than replacing the entire faucet.

Perfect fit for the cold side of my Pegasus water faucet. It was very easy to install and works as intended.

This item arrived the NEXT DAY and was/is an exact replacement of the manufacturer's original part! The only challenge was ensuring that the plastic screen at the bottom stays in place while lowering the valve stem into the fixture. Am sure experienced plumbers (who do this stuff all the time) would have no trouble, for the DIYer: take extra care so that you get the alignment right the first time-- or you risk a big water spray/spill when you turn the water back on!

The product I got was defective. It appears to have been already used or was otherwise gouged, it leaked like a sieve upon installation. The inners are lose. I bought the hot side from a different source and replaced them both today and the hot side came in a standard Danco plastic case and this one was in a zip lock baggie. The Hot side stem I bought from a different seller works just fine and is nice and smooth.

I would love to give it a 5 star but just can't. I got another 3S-10H (hot) as well. There is absolutely no instruction at all regarding installing this cartridge, or removal of it, if never dealt with one like it previously.I'm not "new" to fixing things - so, if I find it annoying, I can't imagine how it is for others - yes, I am that experienced. Most cartridges are not like this one.First of all, you have to know how it is installed, in order to remove it. And, like most stuff, is no longer reasonably tight at -- 3/4 past hand tight - no, it's crud-welded in; so, no matter where you turn to remove anything, it ALL turns. So, there's that. Again, add in that it comes with nothing to advise you in any regard - and you need to be as experienced as me to even consider not just replacing the entire sink, fixture. Also, there's no warning that it (the cartridge itself) - can easily come apart as mine did since the bottom silicon seal was out - and tight as it is a fit - at just the right angle, and dry from the package, can fall out and did.So, I was praying it didn't matter if was turned 180 degrees upon reassembly. Moreover, there's grooves that have to line up and a top seal that has to be lined up. No diagrams, no warnings, no help ANYWHERE. (Go ahead, ask someone at a plumbing supply house and they will tell you to call a Licensed Plumber - who would be selling a new sink and fixtures, not a cartridge, so probably would not know - either.)So, me, being that experienced - got it installed. I should have taken, maybe 30 mins max - no, not this time. (My second time in two years, no less.)The hot-water side was replaced 2 years ago, but was actually not requiring replacing. So, why leaking? Well, they don't tell you how tight to nut it down. And, brass threads can be tight. So, I noticed after I just flushed it out and tightened more than was comfortable the first time - it didn't leak. I left both sides for an hour, to leak, if would, and w/o the chrome decoration shells to see. However, I replaced it anyway since had the new one there (saved that old one). I may be naive, but I'd expect 10 years from a cartridge like this and for our use - one person only in that bathroom - light use, maybe 1-2 times a day - not a family of 6 at 50 x's a day.The fact that one can buy these, to me, means they are still in service, so should be a lasting product. It's not a cheap or junk (how to say) cartridge. Actually, one could rebuild these cartridges itself - that top seal is the only other part that would harden and squash to leak up the handle, top side of the sink - which is the only part that went bad with the cold one, this one (bottom seal was okay). There was a time I would have rebuilt just the cartridge with new seals, like the old washer ones where you could rheem the seats out as well.I felt fortunate, the bottom seat was sound, and could seal - if not, the fixture then would be replaced with all the other issues, like how the chromed white metal was not holding up.The out side, white metal is going to crumble to dust before these do again - these were apx 15 yo, - so when 30 years, will look bad enough to replace if not the entire free standing country style pillar sink. - The cartridges are well made, it's having no advice for removal and install that makes this iffy for a DIY to try vs just replacing the fixture (what a relative, who is a plumber told me to do, from the wall out). If this was all made like the period it is dressed up to simulate - it would all be brass, and etc. and would be in service 50+ years from now - but that's expecting to much. I don't mind the work, just hiring someone else whom would not do a good a job as I would and just want to sell me a new sink, fixture vs fix this one.So, again, for lack of any advice as I explain well, above - it would be a 5 star review. But the actually faucet leaking was the 2 year old that only needed a flushing out and re-tighten, to "tight" or for sure, till you start to rotate the entire fixture, or a lubed thread to 3/4 past hand tight, plus. The silicone seal may flatten out a bit, but should not really harden like the old rubber ones and would likely not have leaked. However, this cold side was leaking up from the handle, that top seal in that cartridge. So, I hope that helps someone.I just kept cleaning the white crud build up and turned carefully one side, while with that long under sink faucet wrench, held well - and pres-packed with "blaster" crud penetration I use on the old cars. It may take you most of a morning to do, but for me beat the alternative which in a few years would require the same - if even made this well, in today's standards. So, this cartridge if in individual faucets, have that long under sink faucet wrench to hold from there, have some blaster, wd-40 or liquid wrench handy and reassemble with a light coating of liquid latex thread lube, sealer - which will make disassembly potentially easier and protect that cheap white zinc metal from crumbling to dust.

This is a perfect replacement for a Pegasus double handle Bath faucet. The cartridge fit was perfect and operates as expected on the Cold water handle. Remember Cold and Hot are different cartridges due to the rotation. No more leaks!

Merci.
