Bought this in a hurry and regret it. Came with no instructions. Watched the online video several times, no verbal instructions, hard to see what person was doing and I said nope, don't have time for this. Secondly, the item looks like it's been sitting quite awhile. It's rusty/corroded and the spring is set so tight I'm afraid to even try to use it because it likely will hurt what I'm trying to catch. It's being returned and I'll try a different, safer option.

The design and construction seem solid, but so far the small wild chickens in my yard have kept triggering the trap (“Large sizeâ€), but evading capture. I suspect it just isn’t large enough and the chickens are standing partly outside the capture zone when they trigger the mechanism.

The trap worked great. Only issue was that it didn't come with instructions so I had to look at the stock photos to figure out how to set the trap.

Edit: I begrudgingly need to increase the rating. I’m still angry that there are no instructions. But I was able to overcome my inferior intellect and finally make this work. It did snap shut on my fingers a few times in the process. But we got there. It does work.No instructions included and I can’t figure out how to set the trap. There are four strings which, from looking at the pictures and videos, need to be tied to the edge. But at what length? How much tension and how far should the swing arm be held back? The trigger is a skinny pin with a loop at one end. I am not sure how it works. If there were any instructions or even a way to easily contact the seller and ask how to use it, maybe this would get more than one star. Alas, while this may be completely my inability to do something that might be simple, they suffer the consequences. Returning.

The video should have "spoken" instructions instead of the music. The guy's hands blocked how he tied the strings to keep all of them tight! I could get the trap to spring once then have to restring with new lines. I'm going to try using heavy duty rubber bands to each string to keep them tight enough to use more than once. There should have been something other than those strings, heavy duty rubber bands attached to a hook would make it more functional and easier to set up. If the strings had already been tied off and ready to go on arrival it would have made it easier to comprehend.
