INSTRUCTION
The plug fits directly in to the mains supply socket, connecting with only the earth conductor. Live and Neutral pins have been molded in insulating plastic, fitting into the supply socket but completely dormant.
The 1M Ohm resistor to each connector offer protection in the event the workstation becomes live. That protection would limit the current to less than 0.3mA at 240 volts. Should the fault current continue the resistor will open circuit.
IInsert the plug into the supply socket making sure it is fully home, then connect the various elements of the EPA...such as ESD wrist strap,ESD Mat, Grounding Cord,Equipment and so on. This ensures that the EPA is at the same earth potential. As generally the workstation has more than one plug socket it is possible to use more than one EBP if more connections are required
The EBP is sealed and cannot be opened for repair. To test each connection use a multi-meter from the connector to the earth pin. The reading should be between 0.9 and 1.1M Ohms. As each connection point has its own 1M Ohm resistor, the resistance between two connectors should be approximately 2M Ohms. All EBP's are tested and then packed.

How To Test The Conductivity
KooMall ESD kit system resistant is 1-3M Ohms. There is 1M Ohms Safety Resistor in each grounding part. That is, there is 1M ohms in ESD Plug, ESD Wrist Strap Coiled Cord and Grounding Cord. So, when you test any part of conductivity by multimeter. You need to choose the right channel which resistance is more than 2M Ohms. Otherwise, there is not any value in multimeter.

I got a treadmill under my standing desk to walk while I work. I noticed that I started getting lots of static shocks after walking for a little bit and then touching my keyboard (espcially since it was also dryer air due to fall/winter). I would build up static electricity from the treadmill belt while walking and not touching anything else.With this connected to the plug, it grounded me, and I haven't gotten a static shot since.Note: In order to get more length, so I could fully walk on my treadmill I connected the yellow plug to the wall then plugged in the black banana cable with the alligator clip on the other end clamped to the yellow coiled cable and then finally to the bracelet/cuff.

Lining up the pegs with the holes to connect the wrist strap with the other hand is a hassle. There must be a better way. I don’t have a suggestion. The snap on the wrist strap takes more effort to disconnect and the little pegs and holes get pulled apart easily.

The grounding capabilities seem to work well, but if plan on being more than 18-20†away from the ground, you might want to consider a different product.The coiled cords will stretch (although six feet seems to be a bit optimistic) the coil is so strong that you would need to tape the snaps in place. I haven’t been able to stretch it more than a couple feet without the snap popping off the plug adapter.If you’re buying it to work at a bench you should be fine, but you’ll be using it for grounding while you sleep, good luck.

First time connect the grounding cord and when pulled out the ESD plug open and can't close back again. Is made of cheap plastic. Very disappointed.
