I picked up the 54mm as my last hope to enlarge the deadbolt hole on my door for a new lock (I'll explain more below), and I gotta say, I was really impressed. Now, I can't speak for how well it works on tile, glass, or stone (which it's technically made for), but for my case, it did the job beautifully.It's solid and has a heavy-duty feel. The metal has a nice weight to it, and the diamond coating looks well-made, not flimsy or cheap and didn't flake off even when I accidentally dropped it and it bounced down the driveway.So I used it on a standard wood and metal door. I know, I know, that's not what it's made for, but I already had a hole there from a smaller deadbolt, so I couldn't use a pilot hole and guide. The drill saw for wood/metal that I had bought from the big box store was too lightweight, and with the large serrations and the fact that I was using it on a vertical surface- it just kept jumping around and making marks on my door. No matter how slow I went, I just couldn't get it started and now my door looks like someone tried to pick the lock while blindfolded and holding the tools with their feet, but I'll fix that with some sanding and paint another day.No problems with this diamond drill saw though. The smaller serrations with diamond coating bit right into the door and created a smooth, even hole that made installing my new deadbolt super easy.Of course, I took my time and let the tool do the work rather than forcing it, which as you already likely know, is always a good rule of thumb with cutting tools but especially since I was using a tile saw for wood, so I was running the risk of it getting too hot and burning.So, if you're in a tricky situation like I was, with a 49mm hole where I needed a 54mm hole in my door, I'd say it's a solid choice even if it's just to get that cut started. And judging by the build quality, I’d imagine it holds up well for its intended materials too. Definitely worth it!

Picture A, is what came out of the package. Picture B, is this beautiful drill bit was showing off a bit before I made it look not as pretty. I have been retired for a while and so many things to do around this old house. I just got a CCTV system and need to run wires everywhere around my house. So after long considerations of different ways of doing it, I really took a long look as it made more sense to cut one large hole, to slide a piece of PVC tubing through the hole, so I can pass the wiring of 8 cameras through the hole, then cap, and seal it. I already have several wires that feed around my house for cable TV and when I had satellite TV. So I got a path. Here I go running wires by cutting this hole last night and this drill bit cut right through my siding and right through everything including my sheet rock. As a matter of fact it was pretty easy to do. took way longer to cut the PCV pipe, and it wasn't that hard. So now I can run one camera at a time till I am done. So I am more than happy to have gotten this drill bit as it didn't even hurt my siding. Just a nice round hole. The bit still looks good and I put it right up for the next time I need it. It was a good investment for me. I do want to warn you to at the very least get a mask and keep from having to breathe that nasty drill dust. I have a respirator and I wear it as not to have to suck in that bad air. So to me this was a great deal and saved me money for having someone else to do it for me. I do hope this helps and the company where I got this drill bit they have many sizes of diamond hole saw bits. Good luck with your projects.

I didn't catch at first this wasn't supposed to be for wood... but it does work! I needed a hole saw to drill through a cabinet shelf to route a microwave power cord, and it does the job efficiently. I don't have any harder surfaces like granite that need holes to test in at the moment, but will update if I find occasion to do so.

I got this to cut holes in wood for a project. Because this is made for other material like tile, my friend told me to not use it for the projects I was doing. Anyway since I don't have any tile or concrete to drill I can tell you it was packaged nicely and looks like it's good quality.

These diamond hole bits are strong. I needed them to cut holes in the tile for my shower valves and they had no problem making the cute. The serrated brazing design helped with make the cuts easy. A great choice for my DIY project!

Cuts through masonry materials really well. It comes with instructions (which is a first for just drill bits). Most of diamond tips get chipped off over time so I will have to see.

Used on a cinder block to cut a hole for some pvc pipe. Did a good job, teeth spacing seemed to clear the cutting slot well. I did add water to keep the bit cool.

We installed a mini split unit and the installation required a 2-1/2 inch hole through the wall. This hole saw sure made that an easy process. It did a great job and I expect it will last a long time.

Pedà esta corona diamantada para taladrar el porcelanico de mi baño, he quedado muy contento con el resultado. Deja un corte limpio y preciso.Hay que ir poniendo un poco de agua en el corte para que no se caliente la corona y se estropee, o el porcelanico, se descantille o rompa. Teniendo presente esa precaución, la corona va de lujo.La corona diamantada es de 50mm y viene con una broca en forma de flecha que hace de guÃa para que no se escape cuando taladras. Viene otra broca flecha de repuesto, ya que es lo que mas se gasta, perfecto para perforar baldosas, cerámica, vidrio, mármol y granito.Hay coronas diamantadas de bastantes medidas, desde la mas pequeña que son 20mm hasta 100mm, para diferentes trabajos. la mÃa es de 50mm.Viene en un estuche de plástico para guardarla.La verdad es que he quedado bastante satisfecho con el resultado
