First discovered these in the USN many years ago when I saw them used to attach keys to belt loops. I didn't have a dog back then or I might have seen them being used to attach leashes to dog collars and harnesses. After I got out of the Navy, I started tent camping and found they could be used for hanging and quickly attaching/removing all kinds of objects like flashlights and lanterns just by adding key rings. On the farm, I add a chain to one end and attach it to a gate. I screw in an eye on a gate post to make an easy way to latch a gate. 2025 is just beginning. By the end of the year, I will have found many other ways to use these. Three is a great start. Purchase these and before you know it, you will see just how useful, they are and want a few more. I always keep one or two on hand with 1" size key rings so I can quickly fabricate a means of attaching or securing something. They work well with leather and nylon straps, chain, rope and cable.

These swivel bolt snap hooks worked great for making a paracord dog leash. They’re strong, rust-resistant, and the swivel action is smooth. The trigger snap is easy to use, and they feel reliable for outdoor use. Solid quality for any pet gear project!

ZORUNNA Swivel Bolt Snap HookOver time, our dog wore through our previous swivel hook and broke it. I ordered these as a replacement. The metal used in these snap hooks seems to be of a more robust & resilient quality than our previous hook, so hopefully these will last longer. They come in handy for allowing us to quickly & easily attach her leash to the yard cable so she can enjoy the outdoors for a while after her walk; then we simply detach the leash when it is time to go back to her house in the evening.4 stars!The photos on Amazon, provided by the seller, sufficiently represent the product. Excellent quality swivel hooks. Opens easily and closes back quickly. May need to oil them once in a while if left in the weather. A good deal for three at $10. See photo for sizing.

This is a sturdy snap hook.I'll be using one to hold a large gate latch closed to avoid heavy winds from opening the gate.If you're looking to use this with a dog leash, it should be plenty heavy duty enough for large dogs.

These are good heavy snaps. I intend on using them for lead ropes for horses. Perfect for what I use them for.
