We have two very basic aluminum "fishing" style boats at our off-grid cabin on a lake. This is my favorite type of swivel hook because it does not require pushing a button with your thumb to open it. We have some of those, but not for much longer as I plan to replace them with these.These are heavy quality in every way and I like that they are gold and a bit easier to see than the usual silver colored ones.The boats are up and the cabin is closed for the winter, but I will be there as soon as the ice goes out to open the cabin and attach these new Snap Hooks!

These brass swivel snap hooks are much larger and heavier than I anticipated. They are too big to work in my craft endeavors. However, they will hold up nicely in securing a dog lead or even a small boat line.

So I have attached a photo. I was going to use these for a diving lanyard. But the clasp doesn’t close unless you force it. VERY disappointed. Additionally. Not something that I would use for any water activities. This is strictly ornamental.Plus. I bet these aren’t even solid brass.

The attachment ring is wide enough for my English style riding reins, and the snap fits a snaffle bit nicely.
