Purchased to replace a broken wheel on my detail stool. The wheels were better than the original so I swapped out all 4 as They rolled smoother than the original.

I put these on my Weber 30" flat top right away knowing they came with plastic wheels and no brakes. I temporarily had office chair aftermarket roller blade type wheels on but those had no brakes and rolled way too easily. I found these on a Sunday and had them a couple days later as they were even made for Weber's plus brakes and the shaft to install is just the right length. Pop them in easily. While they don't roll as good as the roller blade type, they're bigger around and have brakes which is most important.

Installed these on a vintage desk chair. On the second day bearings started shooting out of one wheel then the entire wheel sheared off. Supposed to be 700 lb weight capacity for 4 wheels. I am 300 pounds. Previously I have used the inline skate style polyurethane type of replacement wheels which I usually replace about every 6 months cuz they wear out but have never had one literally break off. These bearings are absolute crap they look like they're different sizes

I have a large family of hockey-playing boys with a huge collection of goalie and player equipment to manage. In addition, I've accumulated a ton of extra gear to freely lend out each winter to less fortunate kids in our area who need some equipment so they can play hockey on our backyard pond. When those kids show up all winter I have to drag out multiple racks packed full of hockey gear to help the boys pick out the items and sizes they need. I really needed some good casters to make it easier to wheel out the racks. These ones do the job just fine.The photo of 4 casters shows their size and includes a standard black 2 inch office chair caster for reference. As you can see the smaller black chair caster uses the same 7/16 inch stem mount. These 4 inch casters are compatible with office chairs using that 7/16 stem mount size, which most do. Most office chairs however require 5 casters and these ones only come in sets of 4. Though they could work on an office chair I recommend against doing it if the socket mount on the chair is made of moulded plastic. The height of the larger 4 inch wheels puts considerable extra leverage and strain on those plastic sockets and would likely break them. I tried these on a chair for a moment and could feel the flex in the moulded plastic socket mounts as I rolled the chair side-to-side and back-forth. If the chair uses stronger solid metal mounts for its casters then these should work fine, so long as you can get enough casters for each leg that requires one.If you are thinking about getting these casters but are unsure about size compatibility with whatever you want to install them on, try putting on office chair casters to test the stem size. Most use a 7/16 inch diameter stem size so if standard office chair casters fit properly for you then these should too.In our case the 4 inch casters are working well for easily moving heavy packed racks and displays of hockey gear. They roll freely on our concrete basement floor, don't leave marks on the floor, are quiet, and the large wheels aren't impeded much when encountering floor rugs or carpeted areas. When we need another set I'll get these again.
