I was looking for a way to reduce a quarter inch router to 1/8 and purchased assorted collets, extension shafts with different style collets on the end, and other options. I found this tool to be both affordable and extremely well centered. Very happy.

After breaking a few (to many) 1/8 bits I decided to swap spindles in stead of using 1/4 to 1/8 reducing collets. Have not broken a 1/8 bit since. Note: There is nothing wrong with the product.YMMV.

I upgraded my spindle on my CNC machine to the Dewalt 611 router. The 611 has a built in collet that is 1/4" and not removable. These make it so I can use my 1/8" shank bits in my new router. I've used them, and they work perfectly.

I connected and tightened everything, I turned it on and in about 5 second the bit came flying out at a high rate of speed due to the malfunction in the photo. Thankfully nobody was injured.

I like being able to use small roto tool bits with my router. I don’t need this very often but it’s nice to have the option.

These work. They securely hold the bit without slipping but they all appear to be slightly off center. I couldn't really tell with a dial indicator but then it is obvious. Just don't expect super accurate results.
