Generous set with twice as many pens as I normally would want. But stuff like this does have a tendency to get lost around the shop so maybe it will even out in the end :-PThe tips seem quite good. I don't have marking paint but tried it on just a painted metal saw blade and even directly in some harder metal and both worked fine. Magnets on the back of the scribers are handy and decent strength.Only slight gripe is that tightening down the tip doesn't have good feedback — the last bit of turn to actually grip down is hard to do and barely moves the nut.

I like that this set came with multiple handles which is great to leave one by individual stations or work areas, plus a load of extra tips.I'm not sure the ruler will get much use but it's not a bad thing that it's there.Not much else to say other than this seems to be a great value at the price point even as tips wear down.

Sometimes marking with a pencil or marker will not show up, using a carbide tip to score the surface may just work out better. This pack is perfect for when you lose one, or forget one somewhere you will still have some backups. The extra tips are nice and for the little amount of work I do this should be practically a lifetime supply.You can really feel the heft of this package, it is very dense with all of the tungsten in it.Each tip comes with a rubber boot and each of the scribes have the same style boot. It doesn't stay on quite a as well since there is not as much sticking out. These do not retract or have any sort of real cap so be careful not to jab your fingers with the sharp points of these.

Immediately started using these. I ran out of soapstone and these bad boys came in handy was cutting some 1/8†angel iron and scored the metal with this gave it a good line to go off of. Comes with a ton of tips incase these get dull but so far the tungsten has held up great and hasn’t dulled. So worth it

These scribes are nicely made and have a good finish. The "collet" grip holds the 1/8 in scribe tip tightly with no wobble. They have a nice deep knurl patter that is easy to hold onto. The only thing I would change would be to make the slots in the collet grip a little wider to allow the use of 2.8 mm carpenter pencil leads as well. I will do that to nine with a Dremel using a cutoff wheel. A solid buy.

In a quick test, I used one of the scribing pens on a 3mm aluminum sheet. The grip is comfortable/secure, and the tip drew a perfect scribe.With 21 extra tips (25 in total), these will go a long way in project use. Magnets embedded on the reverse end and pocket clips offer some versatility in storage/carrying as well.5 stars overall for quality and value, would order again.
