I've tried 3 different dampeners like this. This is the least noisy one. However, it's not magic. It probably provides a 25% reduction in noise

Understand what you are getting here. They help to reduce the noise on cymbals especially. This isnt going to do anything for your snare. That said, I like to practice with these on. They add a bit weight to top which I find builds strength in a small way. It does reduce cymbal volume.They have never fallen off while I practice.

They give you cool character... but they don't make my drums quieter... the cymbals, yes... they are quieter.I am leaving them on for a while... likely on a set at all times, and still use without on my regular pair.Looks like they'll last a while and I may even buy another set ( of 4 ) when/ assuming these wear out.

I wouldn't have thought of this until I saw a friend who had a set.First, these are good for suspended cymbal swells or low floor tom rolls. I put them on an old pair of sticks that I'm not using anymore. This is the best value because you don't have to put them on a new pair.Considering the high cost of most drum or instrument accessories, these are well worth the money. They fit well and appear to be durable for a long life of use. I have a pair of mallets for cymbals like most drummers do but these are an added benefit that actually add a different sound when using them. I'm happy with the purchase. And, I gave the second pair to a friend which was a bonus.

I have a student who tries to drum with his pencils. Voila, I put these on the end and he now wants to learn how to really drum. Bonus, these tips are much quieter than the pencils Ali e.

If you are expecting a soft, lightweight cover for your drum stick tips, you will be disappointed. Worse, if you are expecting the product to reduce the volume of your drums and cymbals when playing with this product, you will be even more disappointed. The tip covers are neither soft nor do they provide any sound dampening at all. In fact, because they add significant weight to the stick tip, the same drum stroke will actually be louder with the tip covers vs without them. They do however dampen the bounce, especially on a cymbal, so don't expect to play any complex articulations on your ride with these tips in place. Best use - will probably prevent tip breakage for basic high power rock drumming.

As a practice set of tips to play on other surfaces, this product out performs the Vic Firth practice tips. They stay on the stick, are durable, and are maintaining their “bounce response†for a month now. EXCELLENT buy.For reference:I wear through the “Official Vic Firth†practice tips in a week, previously resorting to glue and rubber cement to keep them attached to the stick without cracking or falling off.These orange ones are AWESOME!

I bought these so the sound of drumming on the electric kit wouldn't prevail over the monitors in our small church building. I think they did the trick, I can barely hear them hitting the rubber/mesh of the kit anymore. I also like to use light stick (5As) and the weight of the rubber tip doesn't throw me off or anything. Can't comment of durability yet. Used them for 4 Sundays so far.

Si no puedes silenciar al niño,baja el volumen de los palos, además proteje la baterÃa que te ha costado un cojón y medio, sonar sigue sonando pero no es igual de molesto, además desde que los puse no me rompe los tambores ni media casa, un acierto para niños,para mayores pues ya no lo sé....

Wir haben ein E-Drum zuhause. Und unternehmen viel zur Geräuschdämmung. Das Gefühl beim Aufschlag ändert sich nur unwesentlich, aber es wird auf jeden Fall leiser. Und ich hoffe damit die das E-Schlagzeug zu schonen.
