I use this for practice, during drum lessons, and just to play around with when that urge to doodle comes around. All my students bought one. Great for a group setting, not as much noise, easier to hear & see who needs more practice.

As someone who has just started with drums (and lives in a condo where a drumkit or any musical instruments are not allowed), I had to get a practice pad.This one from Donner has been a great purchase, given:- It is solidly built, I am very impressed with how easy was to assemble the stand and adjust it, and the 3 rubber feet provides a firm grip to the floor- the well-built bag is light, sturdy and easy to take to my drum classes. Worth mentioning is that it has an internal division, easy to store the stand, drumsticks and other stuff- the rubber plate on the top has a good feeling when you hit it, which is really important (otherwise I would be using my desk :))- the 3 pairs of 5A drumsticks (yes, THREE!) was a very nice surprise: they are light and well manufactured. The fact that they come in a velvet bag is a nice finishing touchThe only suggestion I would make to Donner is to replace one 5A pair with a 5B, to give students and additional choice of drumsticks.I'm very happy with this purchase - I tested other practice pads in my drumming school and they just don't measure up to this one from Donner - some are flimsy, or just have a weird feeling when you hit them.

My son plays the drums and I bought this for him because I got tired of hearing the pencil tapping. He plays this all day long and I don’t hear a sound so which is great for me but he still gets his practice in worked out great for the both of us.

Well made, high quality... Great Practice Pad and stand for 3 boys, 6, 10 and 12, who use it constantly..Have been using it about 1 yr..Still like brand new.. Beautiful heavy, chrome stand is strong, sturdy, easily adjustable with 3 strong, but simple clamps..

I purchased this as a Christmas gift and I’m glad I inspected everything before hand. Reviews stated the included sticks were not pitch-matched. That’s an understatement. The quality control on the sticks is non-existent. They are not pitch-matched or straight, and no 2 stick tips are the same, with grooves and nicks in half of them and the shape is all over the place. The tips are so rough, I’d be concerned they would cause damage to the practice pad.I ended up buying a couple pairs of Vic Firth classic 5As as replacements before giving this set. I’ll update the review when the pad and stand are tested.Even for the price, I would expect the sticks to be in moderately decent shape. It is instantly clear from the sticks’ quality is not good. Please look into improving QC of the included sticks! They don’t have to be the best sticks available, but they shouldn’t come looking damaged.
