I thought this duct reducer would fit over a 5" duct, but it doesn't. However after recieving it, the product is very well built made of metal. Just disapointed it didn't work for me and to return it back.

This item is MALE fitting on both ends. I did not see that. My bad. Great quality but I needed a reducer with 6 inch female end and a 5 inch male end. The 6 inch end on this product will not fit over a 6 inch male range hood duct.

so often three inch venting is very thin sheet metal and easily bends... this adapter is thick sheet metal and well fabricated. It doesn't bend easily. Both ends are "male" I believe. Well built! Also, if it matters to you, it is not made in China (is made in Eastern Europe).

Bought this as one of the components to build a DIY bat signal, and this adapter connected well to another HVAC adapter
