I use these to pulverise the chemicals in a ball mill making black powder.

I got these brass bearings to install inside my 3d prints as weights. In order to do that, I add small round cavities inside the print so that the bearings can be inserted during a pause in the print time and then sealed securely in the print as it completes. Just to note, these are not actually 1/2", they are closer to 12 and in some cases 12.1 or 12.2 mm. I found this out when I printed my first attempt at using these and they fit quite loosely inside the sockets. Not terrible since I just filled in the extra space with a little hot glue on the fly, but it's better to know that right off the bat.

These bearing balls are a little less expensive than some others and some applications price is a consideration these are used to pulverize powdered chemicals.

These are for a marble run I am building. I wanted brass as I think it will look better than steel in the final assembly. These are perfectly round and smooth with a shiny finish. The only issue is that these are not really 1/2", they are 12mm as checked with a micrometer. I am early enough in my design that the difference won't cause me a problem but I have run into inaccurate representations between metric and SAE measures frequently on Amazon. A true 1/2" would measure 12.7mm.These will be perfect for my application but -1 star for the inaccurate size in the description. Nowhere in the description did it mention that these are actually 12mm.

What you see is what you get with these brass bearing balls. They are good quality and very consistent across all the balls. I plan to use this with crafts and so far they have worked out well for my usage.

These came up as pure Cu/Zn with no detectable lead. They seem like good quality brass balls. They have a little bit of surface variation, but no difference from other balls available from regular distributors.

These brass balls measure 11.92mm in diameter and very consistently so they are precise. However, they are not even 12mm let alone 1/2".If you need close to 12mm, these are slightly under. If you need 1/2", these are too small. The description says about 1/2", so technically they are correct. It's about 1/2". Whether that is good for your needs or not however is your call to make. They are however very precise, there is negligible variation between the samples.
