I discovered that some of my plastic shelf holders that had come with my cabinets (35 yrs ago) had broken when one of the shelves actually came down on top of another. Thankfully, nothing was broken. I hurried to check Amazon to find new holders. I wanted metal this time, and I found these. They are not the same style, but my husband measured and said they should work. They were just a little snug, which is what I want if it's to hold a shelf. I pushed them in, and they work just fine. Be sure you get accurate measurements if ordering pegs. These metal pegs should last forever.

You can’t beat the price of these shelf support pegs. There’s 40 in the box and that would be much cheaper than what you could find in any store. I love the quality of these. I was missing a lot of the support pegs for my cabinet and the original pegs that came with the cabinet were plastic so METAL pegs are a great upgrade. I have nothing bad to say about this product. They are extremely sturdy and the shelves feel secure! I would definitely recommend them.

These seem the same as I was getting from a cabinet hardware supplier. Except almost twice as many for the same cost and I had them in 2 days. Dimensions of pin are the same and correct finish is very good.

I purchased 2 different shelf support pegs/brackets, this product is the top peg in the picture which I decided to return. I was unsure about peg diameter, some are 5mm, some are 6mm and some are 1/4" (6.35 mm), not always apparent in the descriptions. I did my best to order 1/4" and both were the proper diameter. This product had a shorter peg more rounded at the end, the other was longer. Since I am building my own cabinet/shelves, I want the longer straighter peg because it will hold more weight and reduce chances of wiggling around in the hole causing long term damage. If I were using in an existing shelving system I might want this shorter version only if the existing peg hole was too shallow for the longer peg.
