I have rated it based on what it is. A battery powered, affordable snow thrower. I was not comparing it to a corded electric of a gas powered. These are more powerful, handle wetter, deeper, heavier snow. You can tow a 24 foot travel trailer with a Pinto, but you cannot fairly compare the performance and capability of the Pinto with a F-250.I live in Eastern Washington state, and we get a fair amount of snow. Somewhere between Buffalo and Phoenix. :) I have a corded thrower that does the job quite well. But dragging 100 feet of heavy power cord around trees and such is tiring. I am a disabled senior citizen, and do not get around well. Last year I purchased the Greenworks battery shovel. It uses the same battery as the thrower and my Greenworks cordless mower. The mower is great!, The shovel is useless. I compared the effort, time and efficiency of that shovel with using a manual snow shovel. The electric one failed. Unfortunately by the time we had a snowfall to try it out, it was too late to return it. I decided then and there to save up and get the full thrower the following year. This thrower is great. I drop the battery in and away I go. I have 2 70 foot driveways and assorted walkways and a sidewalk. The 4AH battery requires a changeout at 3/4 of the job. Fortunately I have two batteries, one from the mower. They charge back up real quick. The only issues I have is deep snow (over 6", and stop typing Buffalo! :) ), so I take a high pass followed by a ground pass. And wet snow tends to plug the base of the vertical shoot. I accept these limitations for the convenience and ease of use a battery thrower provides. If money is not a factor, there are my other choices, but for the money, as well as the convenience of the interchangeable batteries with other Greenworks fine products (except the shovel :( ) This was a perfect choice for me. At least consider and compare. I think it would be perfect for many of you!

I had trouble to insert the battery into the machine every time, even I tried to punch it, but it is not always in. It took me a few minutes to get it really in then it worked very well, powerful enough to get the 3 inches snow away quickly.I have a long and wide drive way, the battery is enough for two snow days. But I haven't tried for thicker snow yet.

I’m 73 and shoveling snow is not quite as much fun as it used to be. This thing works great. Pretty light and easy to use. This is my third piece of this brand of tool and they all use the same charger and battery. Tough and always works. I like it.

After my third order and using two of these, others need to know about the problems that exist with this machine.First, just a little bit of background. This is not my first Greenworks product. I have a lawn mower, leaf blower and power washer, and I have had great experiences with all of them.I'll start from the beginning. My first order was actually lost by UPS, so I can't fault Greenworks for that. Amazon was great about sending me out another one. I received the second one, put it together, and waited for our next snow here in the Denver area. It turned out to be quite a snow storm for us, and when I woke up we had roughly six inches of light snow on the ground, with more to come. I decided that since this is a light blower, I should go ahead and get started. Well, this thing powered through those six inches like a champ! I was thoroughly impressed, and thought I had done well with my purchase.Around three hours later, another couple inches had accumulated, so I thought I'd go out and give the blower another spin. The battery showed that it was fully charged, so I put it back in the blower and got started. After going through about 1/3 of our driveway, my problems began. All of a sudden, the blower just shut off. I restarted it, and as soon as it hit snow again, it shut off again. This behavior is actually somewhat similar to the behavior of the lawnmover I have when its battery is low, so since I have three batteries, I thought I would try a fresh battery. Unfortunately, it still did the same thing with both of my other batteries. So, my next thought was that it might be too cold. It was, after all, decently cold outside (but still above zero). So, I finished that round with the shovel, and put the blower back in the garage with a space heater with the thought that I'd try again later.A few hours later saw another few inches of snow, so I tried again. Same problem! This time, I decided to put up with the annoyance of restarting the thing constantly (sometimes every two feet, sometimes every 20), and finished the driveway. I decided to call Greenworks, and they told me that they were getting calls from a lot of people having this exact problem, and that I should just return it since I was still within the return period. That night, I put in for a replacement from Amazon.I recently received the replacement, and today was our first snow that I could test it on. Well, it does the same thing! Again I called Greenworks, and they told me that they are indeed still having problems with these, but also that they are having the same issue much more frequently with their 80 volt model. So, now I go to return the replacement. I will not be getting another one, but rather I am getting my money back. I'm left to wonder if Greenworks even tested these in the snow! Despite my experience with this product, though, I would still recommend Greenworks' other offerings.UPDATE 12/27/2016: Please read the other negative reviews of this product. It seems many others are still having the same issue, and that Greenworks has not fixed their product offering.

Der Schneeauswurf verstopft zu schnell. Gutes, hilfreiches Gerät, aber nur bei Neuschnee.
