I ONLY use these rollers for painting cabinets (kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms) & furniture. The finish is much smoother than the finish from a sponge roller or a paint brush. I typically purchase them from Sherwin Williams & am thrilled to find them on Amazon. I’ve successfully used the rollers for oil & water based primers, latex paint, chalk paint, milk paint and water based top coats. Other rollers are subpar IMO.

I built a media wall with cabinets and was going to spray the finish, I decided to try rolling out the paint and it worked perfect with very little sanding. Highly recommend for smooth surfaces that need to look like glass.

We've always used Purdy roller covers and have probably gone through a hundred of them. In fact, my order history says I've ordered 38 of these (multiple packages of 2) in the past couple of years.These did not last one job. The nap wore off before we were even finished. The labor it cost me trying to roll paint with a plastic tube after most of the nap was gone - it's hard enough being a painter without this kind of headache.I've never tried to work with such garbage - if this is the quality that Purdy has to offer these days, I'm finished with the company.Terrible, terrible, terrible! We' have to throw away 6 of these after 2 days. What a disgrace!
