I've never owned a salad spinner, but I eat salads every day. I figured it was time to try one out and see what they could do. It didn't take me very long to realize I'd been missing out since it was so much easier to wash and dry a cut up head of lettuce than my old "wash the head, shake it dry, chop it and have damp salad" method. This spinner doesn't come with any instructions so I just did a quick web search to see how one might clean greens properly. I did like the ATK website showed - fill the colander with lettuce, place it in the bowl, fill with water and agitate lightly. Then, I removed the lettuce by lifting the colander, dumped the water, replaced it with fresh, repeat. After, I drained the bowl and spun the lettuce dry, pouring off excess water as it was flung out.Since there was no documentation, I'm not sure if it's dishwasher safe or not, but mine came out of a top-rack cycle just fine. Maybe it'll shorten its life, but after that initial run I'll likely just hand wash it anyway.

This is a great medium sized salad spinner. I like the drainage holes that allow for quick drying, and the ease that the handle spins the contents. I was a little challenged figuring out how to properly secure the lid onto the bowl because the spinner didn't come with directions. Once I figured it out, it was pretty easy. Also, I had a spinner that kind of spun on its own once it got going but that's not the case with this one.. You'll have to continuously turn the knob to get the salad spun properly. Other than that, I think this is a great addition to the kitchen.

I've been using this 4.2L salad spinner for a few weeks now, and I'm very impressed with its performance. The size is perfect for my family of 4, and the dual drainage holes really do make a difference in how quickly it dries my greens. The spinning mechanism is smooth and easy to operate. I appreciate how it effectively removes excess water, leaving my lettuce crisp and ready for salads. It's also great for washing and drying other fruits and vegetables. Cleaning is a breeze. I found no user manual and the instructions on the box wasn't very helpful, but you will be able to figure out eventually. Overall, a fantastic product!

I like the features of this lettuce spinner which has dual drainage holes that make washing, spinning, and draining greens, fruits, and vegetables a breeze. The design is user-friendly; I love how quickly it dries my greens without any hassle. The capacity is perfect for preparing salads for the whole family, and the lightweight construction makes it easy to handle. What impressed me the most is how well it performs—my salads come out crisp and ready for dressing every time. Plus, the green color adds a fun touch to my kitchen. This is a reliable salad spinner, and I would highly recommend it!

This is a salad spinner and it does what it's expected to do. When I put it together and tried it, it worked well. Because there are no instructions, at first I didn't know what the kidney shaped green attachment on the lid was for. It doesn't come off but slides out and there's a small hole hidden under there. Wha??? I had to look back at the website to learn that this is called a "fixing snap" that prevents spillage. Still, wha??? Then the light bulb went off and I figured out that when you put all pieces together you need to slide the fixing snap out then align it with the clear outside bowl and let it snap closed. This locks the lid onto the outside bowl so it doesn't bounce around while you're spinning. It's nice and it works.

The original salad shooter uses a pump action so spin the strainer basket, and it needs to mesh. The thing has become warn and whether I use the small basket or the big one it skips so its wearing out. It's also a little harder to connect the top to. If you are making salads today and use those spring mixes, or chopped lettuce or other mixed greens this is a must. Since these are often made up of many plants there is a higher risk of getting certain germs from the mixed batch. I hear of recalls frequently and have had some recall notifications on some grocery items I use. This does a nice job of rinsing and it's a little more compact than the original larger but larger than the mini version that comes with the original. It may be slightly more work as it does not use a spring loaded pump action but uses a crank, but it doesn't take much effort. It has a nice pour off feature for the dirty water and is easy to refill with clean for a final rinse. The picture is shows on the product page is a bit misleading as you need the clear bowl attached to pour off the water into a separate bowl. The picture suggests you get two but you only have the one. I use tap water for the initial cleaning, and then filtered water for the final rinse. In addition to salad veggies and germs, you can wash off fertilizers and dirt and other contaminants you'd prefer not in your salad or stir fry. Recommended.

I absolutely love this salad spinner as it has made my life so easy. I love eating salad and this is a convenient way to make salad. It is efficient for washing, spinning, and draining of greens, fruits, and vegetables. It can be used as a lettuce spinner, fruit washer, and vegetable dryer. It has dual drainage holes, which ensures quick drying, making it perfect for preparing crispy salads. I see myself using it every time I make salad. I wish I got it sooner.

It is very large which is great, but I wish the spinning handle folded down because it takes up a lot of vertical space in the cabinet. The spinning action on it is good, but not great. It does not free spin when you let go so. The packing was done nicely and it arrived very quickly. I think it's a good deal for the price.
