It is just what it says it is, a thread chaser. I had some threads that were messed up on both the male and the female side. I had a set of tap & dies but it seemed to be trying to cut new threads. This set worked like a dream for me. The reason I chose this was most of the time I am not needing to cut threads but to clean and restore threads to like new condition which these do well. Very pleased with the quality.

I work on aircraft and every once in a while you come across a cross threaded fastener. This kit has saved us a lot of time and money.

Great value for a needed set of tools. The threads and thread cutter are great, but the chaser threads will strip if to much force is applied. Would definitely buy again,

The multiple sizes work well to chase threads on bolts and bottom tap threaded holes. Better than using standard tap and dies to recut threads on bolts which can make the bolt too sharp or the wrong pitch. Would have liked it to include the 14x2.0 mm along with the 14x1.5 mm die.

Have been wanting one for many years, just did not want to pay $100 or more. Found this one on Amazon for way less plus free shipping. Seems to be great quality, great case, have used several of them, but not all and so far works great.
