This works great for the price. The TFT display is as clear as what the camera can provide. It does have about a 2 second blue "no signal" screen when you shift out of reverse (rather than instantly off like an OEM mirror), but it does turn off. You can also see the outline of the TFT a little more than an OEM mirror, but it isn't noticeable when driving. The tint is a little darker than most mirrors but it is still very clear during the day, and looks great at night. The installation was as simple as any other display mirror I have installed, and I think it would be hard to find a better mirror at this price.

Yes, the screen is small. And yes, it tends to wash out during the day... I have to position my head higher to get a better angle so I can see it. But these are the compromises, I think, inherent in a mirror/display combo like this.The mirror also has no "night" mode to reduce glare from headlights behind you. However: the mirror itself has a mild tint to it. It isn't dark enough to hinder daytime use, but it IS dark enough to take the edge off of nighttime headlight glare. It isn't as effective as a real day/night mirror... but generally speaking, again, it's good enough.The only annoyance is a green "power on" light that is too bright for nighttime driving. This is solved easily by powering the mirror through the reverse-light circuit.For $40-some dollars, I am pleasantly surprised.Incidentally: the instructions are pretty poor - they don't tell you what sort of 12VDC supply you should connect it to. Obviously you don't want to connect it to a constant 12VDC... that will do nothing but add a parasitic draw.I've tried connecting it to switched power and reverse-light power, and either works fine (with the exception of the power-on light as described above).

The little screen remains on the entire 12hrs. WTF!! It's supposed to turn off after the vehicle shift out of reverse. It doesn't!! I have to shift the gear into reverse again, then neutral before I shift into park. Then it would turn off! WTF!!

Even without the power connected, it has a Good tint to it, making it easy to see in both day and night.It would be nice if the width was greater for a pickup truck. But good still for all other vehicles.
