My new (new to me) 2006 Subaru Outback is a longer vehicle than I’m used to, so I knew I would back into something sooner or later if I didn’t add a camera. No dash cam in a car that old, so I found the rearview mirror screen a great option.I put the system in myself, and it took about 4 or 5 hours. I probably could have done it faster, but I wanted to make sure it was done correctly. This is not a project for the average driver! I have an engineering degree and I like doing stuff like this, and even with all that going for me I found it had some challenges (such as routing the wires around side airbags). I can’t imagine a professional car place doing it faster or better. I wrap the wires in plastic tubing when it has to make a turn around (or near) metal. Even routing the wires with all this attention and care, I found I still had to make some sacrifices with the wires exposed here and there. Not a big deal to most people, but I like to have it cleanly installed with practically zero wires showing.Splicing into the reverse light provided some challenges too, but that was mainly due to the factory wire harness having zero slack to work with! They don’t plan for aftermarket stuff, so why would they make the wires any longer than they have to be?I don’t use the GPS option because I don’t feel like I need it, and I don’t want to deal with the wires or sticking the sensor on the windshield.I connected it to a power source that cuts on and off with the key, so I don’t use the parking monitor option. I just wanted to record driving. So the system starts up when I turn on the engine, and cuts off when I turn off the engine. I tapped into the fuse box (search for “automotive fuse tap”) with a fused plug-in connector. These things are great because when you hook them up correctly they give you power, fused for protection, and eliminate the need to cut and splice any wires. You do have to find a good ground connection, of course. When it’s all connected, it will remember your last view. I leave mine looking at the rear view. Sometimes I turn the screen dark (either manually pushing the button, or saying “turn off screen”) and just use it as a regular mirror. The video still records even when the screen is dark. My back window is tinted, so it doesn’t give the best view that way (either reflecting, or with the camera mounted on the inside). When I look at the reflection with the back hatch open, the view is pretty bright and looks close to a regular mirror in the daytime. When you put it in reverse, the back view changes. It switches to a downward angle, and has the red/yellow/green guide lines. Then when you change out of reverse, it goes back to your previous view. This is nice feature. I had assumed I’d have to choose between a straight view out the back, or a downward view for safety backing up, but was glad I get both.I played with the lane features and blind spot detection on an out of town trip, but I do not use them in town. I just keep them turned off so they remain silent.I’ve checked the recordings a couple of times, and all seems to be ok. It’s a little awkward to get the card out and take it inside to plug it into my desktop computer, so I don’t do it often. The audio isn’t the greatest, but it’s ok. I’m not sure if it’s just the one I got, or if they all have a little sound distortion. The sound works, but it’s just not as clear as other recorders I’ve used.Overall, I really like this system, and would definitely buy it again.

I bought this 9 months ago and had been working well. It's easy to mount and adjust. Video from the front camera is super clear. But the rear camera is mounted inside and the glare/reflection from the rear glass makes it less than ideal but still usable. However, it died one morning and refused to boot up. I tried everything including using a different power source, removing the SD card, pushing the reset pin hole in the back . . . nothing. So I contacted customer service and they responded within a few hours. They wanted me to send a video showing the power source works on other devices, like and iPad, and then the dash cam. After seeing that it was dead, they sent another full set with all the accessories. Once confirmed that the replacement is working properly, they kindly asked to return the dead P10 but keep all the other accessories as a backup spare. They provided the return label so it was no cost to me. It's a bit of a bummer that the P10 died in less than a year but the great customer service makes up for it. Hopefully the replacement P10 lasts a long time.

So I saw this type of smart mirror on a classic truck and thought that it was brilliant. I went on Amazon and, to no surprise, found many of its kind. This one was the cheapest on Black Friday ($70). My truck needed a backup camera and a dash cam, so this fit the bill perfectly. Here are my observations:1) The reverse camera wire won't reach the back if you have a truck or a three-row SUV. Wire length is 18 feet from the front connector (at the mirror) to the reverse camera. For reference, I have an 8ft bed/regular cab pickup. To solve this problem, I bought the "YQMAJIM 4 Pin 9.8 Ft Extension Cable." It worked flawlessly and retained the reversing lines. I used a T-tap to wire my reverse signal. (+$20)2) A hardwire kit is NOT REQUIRED to use the dash cam. I used the “Pelsee Dash Cam Hardwire Kit, Type-C“. With this hardwire install, extra parking mode settings will show. I turned my parking mode off (collision sensitive) and instead used the timelapse option. It immediately goes into timelapse recording with the key out. I set my timelapse for 72 hours at 5 FPS (after 72 hours, it will stop recording entirely until the key is on). It also has a voltage monitor and will power off if your battery drops below the set cutoff. With 256GB, I can get about 2-3ish FULL days of recordings. If you have basic 12v knowledge, it's relatively easy to wire. (+$25)Note: I did try other hardwire kits and they “worked” but didn’t give me extra parking settings. Highly recommend to buy the one sold by Pelsee.3) Wait to install the GPS module until you are sure it can receive signals from every satellite. Check for satellite info in the system settings menu. Ensure the GPS letters are upside down and the 3M sticker faces the sky/windshield.4) The reviews about glare are true. You'll have a hard time using the mirror as a screen. I set the screensaver to 1 minute. It turns the screen off and keeps recording.5) Consider buying a microSD that is bigger and better. The maximum storage capacity is 256GB. Make sure to buy an "endurance" type. I purchased the Samsung Pro Endurance, and it's been working fine.6) If your vehicle's interior is loud, the mic will have difficulty hearing you. When playing back recordings, it will sound terrible. If you are reading out plate numbers, make sure to yell!7) The "Collision Sensitivity" system is unreliable. I had to turn it off because it would lock videos unnecessarily and, at times, corrupt recordings. I recommend turning that off. I also recommend turning off the voice commands because it would give false alarms about locking videos. Now, my recordings are safe.8) My truck is so old that it doesn't have airbags. However, I can see this being tricky to install in vehicles with airbags. It took me 2 days to finish, leisurely.Camera observations:1) The rear camera is decent... it has mediocre night vision (bright headlights). The reversing lines have no calibration setting. You can adjust the angle of the lines, which is the only adjustment. It saves the camera angle when in reverse, which is nice. I did buy a generic license plate frame to mount my camera. (+$10)EDITED: I installed the latest firmware update. It improved ONLY the reverse camera. It now allows you to "zoom out" and see the whole frame of the camera, but ONLY in reverse. This improved the use of the reverse camera by at least 10x. I had to email Pelsee directly from my Gmail to acquire the firmware update. Their contact instructions are on their website.2) The front camera is good! I can't make out license plates with it, and there is some front glare, but for the price, I ain't complaining. I just wish they offered a CPL filter for it. It is adjustable on a pivot and can slide out.3) I'm not using the "Safety Features" like the ADAS or LCS, so I cannot comment. I set the BSD for reversing, but it isn't the best.I've been using this product for a few months and am very satisfied for $70. However, I needed to spend on other products (+$65) to make it a complete setup, which would be my only critique. So, would I recommend this dash cam mirror? Absolutely! This works reasonably well if you are in the market for a dash cam AND reverse camera unit. Just know that it's not easy to install and that this is considered an investment.

I needed this for extra protection after my car accident. The design and quality is amazing and works great. The cable is long enough to fit around the top of my car to tuck and hide. I actually needed the video after being hit on the side and it caught everything. The touch screen is great and has a lot of options.

I gave this to my husband for his birthday, it was on his list. Easy install, high quality. He had a problem with the screen. Customer service was very prompt and curteous. They asked for short video of problem and once verified, did a full replacement of the unit.In fact they said to keep the accessories and just return the screen. They even included prepaid postage. Great customer service!

This is a pretty good dashcam for the price. It is made well with high quality materials and seems like it will last a long time. It comes with everything needed to install and is pretty easy to install, doesnt take too long and can be done yourself. If you want the backup camera to automarically switch to the reverse camera with reverse assist lines when you put your car in reverse, then you just have to wire the backup camera to your reverse light, which isnt too difficult if you are handy, You can watch youtube videos to help you out. The video quality is nice and clear during both the day and night and even in low light conditions. The touchscreen is bright, clear and responsive and I like how the front camera slides out so that you can perfectly fit the dashcam over your rearview mirror. It has many great features that work well and are useful. I also like how it comes with a micro SD card so you don't have to buy one separately. Would recommend.

Having recently purchased a van I decided on buying this rear view camera kit. It is a godsend and I would be lost without it.I did have an issue with the rear camera, I got in touch with Pelsee and I must say the customer service was excellent and a new camera was dispatched to me straight away. Would buy again and recommend to anyone.

Such a good choice for me so far. The video quality is clear, day or night, and I can usually make out licence plates without any trouble. The GPS is reliable too. The menus are easy to use, just like on my phone. The sound isn't the best but that's fine. Everything you need to install it yourself is included. The touchscreen works well, and I like that the front camera adjusts to fit behind my mirror. It side slides so it can fit your mirror regardless of the size. It's got a bunch of features that are easy to figure out and actually useful. Plus, it comes with a memory card, which is a nice touch. The front and rear cameras captures every detail with precision, even in low-light conditions. The parking mode feature provides peace of mind when leaving my vehicle unattended, as it automatically records any incidents. Overall, the P10 2.5K Rear View Mirror Camera exceeds expectations with its features, performance and ease of use.

Dont like the rubber strap fitting that goes over the existing rear view mirror but there is a convertor bracket available to remove your original mirror and fit this in its place

Looks good and works well.pictures are very clear, quality is good, has lots of features that you may or may not use. However a couple of things need improvement:1. Power and video cords are a bit short. I need to have the wires hidden so I have to route them along the frame. For my large sedan, the wires are just 1 foot short so I had to spend the time extending them.2. As someone has already pointed out, the screen off time of 1 minute is too long. Wish it has 30 Seconds as an optionOverall, it's a great product.
