The cloth seems good quality. This is 16 oz biaxial with no mat. Very similar to 1700. This is great for epoxy layups, since the mat on the 1708 soaks up a lot of epoxy. This can allow a lighter and/or stronger part. I'm using it with System 3 Silvertip epoxy.The main downside is that it arrives folded. This is mentioned in the description. I thought I'd just unfold it, and then roll it up myself. But with the particular fold pattern, it turned out to be more challenging than I thought, and my cloth ended up stretched weird, with strands out of place in a few areas. If you have a hallway long and wide enough, with a clean and smooth floor that doesn't catch the glass, unfolding and rolling might work. But I'm going to spend a little more next time and buy something that comes on a roll.

The fiberglass is advertised on a roll. It arrieved FOLDED in a 12X14 plastic bag.
