Buy it as a fun toy for large water areas.My kids loved playing with it on the lake ... once all the ice was gone. Plenty of play time, but would keep it close to the shore the longer you play.

Fun little boat, my son loves it! Great quality, it comes with 2 rechargeable batteries, and some extra propellers. Really cool modern design, grey with cool black and blue accents. Very quick and fun to control.

I’ve had a couple of these little boats over the years and this one we just got recently has many nice features. I love the sleek look and simplicity of the design, as well as the rudders are easy to get to and change out (it does come with replacements too). Navigation works well. It runs forward and turns particularly well. The reverse is a little slow, but that's to be expected and unnecessary unless you get hung up between rocks near shore or something. The sleek design makes it flow through the water even when it’s windy or choppy outside, which was the case the last time we used it. It can handle some wind and waves, but because of the bigger waves we were going through, it got bumped and tossed around some rocks. I did see some water inside the housing when I went to turn it off. It was just a few drops - and not anywhere around the battery or electrical parts that I could see. Because of the water I found in the unit, it did make me wonder about how waterproof it will be in the long term. There are a couple of things about the boat I don't like.1. The door to the battery, which is the top portion of the boat, is awkward and challenging to get off. The release lever is easy to pull, but there is no good place to grip the boat's top to pull the door out.2. The other compromise is that the on/off switch for the boat is inside so that it is hard to open the door, which I’m sure they did to save a few dollars and not have to design a waterproof exterior switch like I have on my other boat we use. This, I’m sure, is a money saver and keeps the price of the boat down comparatively - which is a plus to get a fun boat at a cheaper price, but again, you compromise some convenience. Finally, on a funny, ironic note, I’m not sure why a blue and gray water-based toy is being called a ‘fire-breathing dragonâ€.

Picked this up for my son who was looking for one. We haven't had a ton of opportunities to use it yet but looking forward to more in the summer. I didn't want to get anything super expensive because I'm not sure how much he'll use it. This was a nice compromise. When comparing it to other similar priced RC boats it looks pretty good. Its pretty solid and easy to use. He was able to get the hang of driving it quickly and was happy with how it worked.

Fun for our family! We use this in our pool and we also have a boat dock in our backyard that we can put this in and play on the lake. Such a fun and easy toy for kids of all ages to use and keeps them entertained for a long time!

Cool RC boat, can flip back on it's own, and pretty fast (need to be careful in swimming pools). The only drawback maybe packaging, which feels slightly less premium. Otherwise it would make a great gift.
