Great for reaching higher items and not wondering off like a free standing ladder. I placed this unit by my kids bunk beds with a nearby book shelf. Works great and slides well. Easy to install.

The box arrived in good shape and nothing was damaged. My immediate thought was how light the carton was. Upon inspection, the hardware is heavily weighted metal, and not as thick as I've had in other sets. It's totally functional though, and should hold up well enough. My real disappointment was the realization that the steps (in the photo) are not included. I figured I would have to furnish the wood legs, but the matching steps should be part of the set. I have other issues as well, like the locks on the rollers. To lock the wheels, I simply push the lever down with my foot. But to unlock the wheels, I have to stoop down and use my finger to pull the lever up. Unlocking is very inconvenient. The slot in the underside (the side that shows the most) is partially and inconsistently spray painted. Overall, the set is okay and can be useful. But for most DIY'ers, the construction of the steps and legs will make this set less useful.

This is an exceptionally well made and functional library ladder set which allows you the ability to build/buy your own custom ladder to suit your needs. The hardware is well made and sturdy, with impressive craftsmanship all around. Highly recommend.

I ordered this because I already have a library ladder and needed another one for the other side of my room. I did not see any issue with the build quality. I have ordered other sets and they're this Hardware is a bit on the thinner side, it seems to hold up well to its Duty. This is easy to assemble when you have the ladder on hand. It does not come with the ladder. Functions well and I believe this is an excellent valued kit.

I am really pleased with the hardware this comes with. It is sturdy and elegant. The sturdiness is important, because this will be going on a fairly tall ladder. I have no concerns though. It is really well done. I'll update if I am proven wrong over time.

.Very nice metal and exquisite coating in black. Very nice look. The entire set is good quality.The rod is in equal sections with connecting pieces. The seams are tight and smooth.Ever since I saw a classic adventure movie when I was a kid, I wanted a library with a sliding ladder with books from floor to ceiling. This sliding ladder hardware is the final piece.Very pleased with the quality. It holds a lot of intangible value for me !
