My son's college just installed self-closing door hinges. The door frames are old and made of steel. I found three holes one of which had a dried up rubber silencer and when the door closed the sound of the door closing was around 90 decibels (like someone slammed it). Went to Amazon and immediately found what I needed. Although they sell packs of 100, all I needed was three. These door silencers worked effectively in quieting the door's closing. Not like being at home, but way better. Seller was very prompt with delivery.

Does not work. At least not for me. It just makes it harder to close the door, but still shoots a loud amount of noise.

Moved into brand new offices and doors would slam and rattle.Finally realized that the builder had forgotten to put these littlegems on the door frames. What a difference they made wheninstalled. Thanks for fast shipping!

Follow their instructions and the metal door gets quieter. Blessed relief in an office without maintenance people readily about and willing to be interrupted from their "real job".

Exactly what I needed for my home. However, I do wish they were sold in packages of 12 instead of 10. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this item.
