I installed 2 of these on an air suspension system on my truck. They slow and muffle the exhaust from the air bags and the tank dump valve. If you’ve ever yanked the drain valve on your air compressor and witnessed the ear piercing sound of 200 psi air rushing out of a tiny hole, then you understand why you might want to install a muffler. This one specifically slows the air so that you still have a hiss, but you’re not breaking any eardrums. They appear to be just made of a really dense fiber filter material and a plastic cage. That being said, they work perfectly fine in reducing the sound a little. Doesn’t make it quiet by any means, just softer. I chose these as opposed to a brass muffler due to the fact that I’m installing on a truck that may be exposed to salt and corrosives. The plastic wont rust. Not sure what the pressure rating on these is, but it held up to a 200psi dump on my truck

I do resin crafting and I use a pressure pot. Got these to reduce the cacophony of noise that emanates from the pot when using it. I do my crafting in the basement and I like to keep the noise at a reasonable level. These seem decently made. Had no trouble hooking it up and it did make a difference. Resin crafting is fun, but oh the noise and oh the smells. At least this helps with the noise.

I got these for use as mufflers for my air system release ports and drain ports. As mufflers they work well as expected with an easily audible reduction in sound when the ports are open.In addition to reducing the sound they serve to diffuse the jet of air as well, a 3/8" port can create quite the jet of air that can blow stuff around, but the muffler will effectively diffuse this jet (In this products case I was impressed with how well the diffusion worked).Overall, a good muffler/diffuser.

I'm using one of these on the output side of the fill assembly on the pressure tank I use when casting resin. This works perfectly for keeping debris, water and oil from blowing in the tank. The threads fit the lid fine and it's working well so far, not much more to ask out of it. So A+ from me.

These air mufflers are very well made and install nicely. The threads are a perfect match and the unit itself is quality.
