The sound pickup is high-quality 50mm Piezoelectric ceramic disc transducer
It is very large and can collect a wider range of sound in case you are sure where are the best parts of the sounds.
This is a pre-wired, pre-soldered piezo and jack harness which make it easy for you. All you have to do is to attach the piezo in or on your build, drill a hole and mount the jack. Then you're done!
Fit for most st music instruments such as Guitar Mandolin Cigar box Guitar Violin Ukulele Banjo, etc.
Installation instruction:
1 Take the plastic film down from the back of transducer to expose the adhesive
2 Place the transducer through the sound hole to the lower part of the front body where the guitar produces the best tonal response
3 Drill a hole from inside the body, loosen the end-pin jack nut, insert it to the hole and tighten the nut

Worked for my banjo. The plug and knob were too short to go all the way through the thickness of the banjo sides so I had to countersink them a bit. Not much volume difference in the first half of the knob sweep, but after that it does adjust. One note of advise if you're putting this on a banjo is to make sure you place it in a good spot. I just stuck mine haphazardly on the inside of the head near the bridge and didn't realize it would show when looking at it from the front. It doesn't look terrible, it's just a little off center which messes with my OCD. All in all I'm very pleased, I electrified my banjo for $5 and 1 hours worth of work countersinking the knob and jack.

This is my go to pickup for cigar box guitars. It sounds great. The volume pot works fine. The knob that comes with it isn’t great, but that’s no big deal. Very easy to install. The piezo itself has an adhesive already on it. I personally sandwich the piezo between the neck and the inside of the box under the bridge.I highly recommend getting a pack of metric brad point drill bits. The pot and jack both fit perfectly in metric holes, but required fiddling when I previously used a standard set of drill bits.

Fast and easy way to add some volume to my cigar box guitar builds. Like all Piezo pickups, they can be a little harsh at higher volumes.

So far I have installed one of these in my ukulele and it works great. I did use double stick tape to hold it in so I could move it to find the spot that gave me the best tone.The volume control worked well and the sound quality is decent for a Piezo pickup. I will be installing one in an old acoustic guitar in the next week or so. If it performs like the one in the uke, I'll be happy. I don't see why it wouldn't.After the acoustic guitar test I plan on building an electric guitar style hollow body and I'll stick one inside rather than traditional pickups.These work well and are perfect for amplifying those acoustic instruments.

Very fragile units. Decent for the price even if you have to toss 1/2 of them away.
